Super interesting that the reveal was set up to be someone saying "I am the director". That's how everyone was saying it in the joke tweets, and I think that's what most people expected.

But, what we got was the director saying "I am Wifies" as the reveal, which I think is interesting.

To Wifies, being the director was never about the image or symbol of the director, but about the end goal of protecting Parrot.

"I am the director" is about showing off power. "I am Wifies" is about appealing to Parrot with humanity, to show that despite the power and the threatening image of the director, Wifies cares more about his personal connection to Parrot.

Wifies does want to have power over Parrot, he later in the conversation does say "I am the director", but it's important that that's not how he starts the conversation, and not how he does the reveal.

ngl i feel like a main reason kab feels the need to separate herself from her character so much these days is that some of y’all are really fucking mean about her character

like she’s trying to play a complicated character who often behaves selfishly and irrationally and a lot of people act as though kab herself is selfish and irrational and manipulative.

because ls!kab isn’t obviously evil or an over the top villain, and at least in character she thinks she in the right, people see that as her defending the actions of her character, and so she feels the need to create a degree of separation between ls!kaboodle and herself

tbh i feel like letting ccs play characters that behave in ways they personally wouldn’t in real life leads to a more interesting story.

i also have more to say about the way some of y’all treat the newer lifestealers and also women in the mcyt sphere as a whole but that’s a whole other can of worms
