"What?" Will was very much aware of the fact that he was going to regret it.
"You know how I told you that I really enjoy these tiktoks about autumn recipes? Like the pumpkin bread or cinnamon rolls?"
"Yes?"
"The point of making pumpkin bread in autumn is the pumpkins. They are seasonal. You don't make pumpkin bread in June."
"Okay? And?"
"Most of these people who post their recipes use canned pumpkin puree. You could use that all year long. Why aren't they using real pumpkins now?"
"It's getting late, we should go to sleep."
"But Will..."
"I don't know, Hannibal. For convenience? Not everyone has time to bake the pumpkin and to mash it."
"Then what's the point? Buy a frozen pumpkin bread and you are done."
"All this talk about pumpkin bread only made me crave pumpkin bread."
"I can bake some in the morning. I bought a real pumpkin yesterday."
"Extra spiced?"
"Extra spiced."
"But I am leaving for work early in the morning"
"I will bring it to work, then. Hopefully everyone likes it extra spiced."
"Even better if they don't. I will keep it to myself."

I’m just thinking about how many times I’ve heard my dad on a long call with an obvious scammer and I’ll start begging him to get off the phone because I always think he’s a very easy mark and he’ll just keep going and then after a while he’ll say something like “I died 20 years ago” and hang up.
