Aware of Abuse: it must have been interesting for her classmates experiencing Chloe’s transition to her new normal. First she’s suddenly much easier to set off for a while, with maybe only Sabrina knowing why. Then she’s seemingly back to normal, but over the course of the year, she starts acting… maybe not nicer, but at least less of a bully, using some of her normal tactics less or stopping with them entirely. Most notably, she seems more hesitant to jump to calling daddy when things aren’t going her way.

When the invites to the New School Year Party come in, they’re wondering if this is Chloe actually being nice, or if there’s some ulterior motive. Chloe inviting Marinette would lean them towards the former, but the argument when Mari brings food would lean them towards the latter

K, so. On Himiko's teeth. The regrowing teeth makes some kind of sense, but it could also be triggered by damage? Like, she isn’t constantly growing new teeth & shedding old ones. When a tooth gets damaged, it would loosen, fall out, then regrow over, like, a week or 2? She could also have it happen naturally over a few years, like, instead of getting cavities, or enamel decay, Himiko just loses that tooth?

That could work!

So yeah her parents tried to file down her teeth and they just. Popped out and got replaced real quick. (not fun). And probably the first time they assumed it was like a baby teeth situation but after the second time it's just nope they. They do that.

Ok, when you said Himiko's teeth "grow back" because of her Quirk, how do you mean? Like, if they're filed down, they "regenerate"? Are her teeth constantly growing, & she NEEDS to file them, lest they get over grown? Is it like a shark, where she's constantly losing and growing new teeth? In addition to the blood diet, does she need more calcium so her teeth are strong enough?

I half said that as a joke for the bit in that since you know if her parents had the option to file down her teeth they would, but she still has her fangs currently.

But now I'm thinking on it and I find it hilarious and some absolute bullshit that would work in terms of Quirk Nonsense.

So I'm running with it!

I think the shark-like thing would make more sense with her Quirk, but the idea of her needing to do something to file them down could be fun. Though this would be done more safely in more of a 'basic maintenance of chewing on something' rather than taking dental tools to them.

Wouldn't the Todoroki drama be more strained due to his pr team? Yeah we joked that they suck and we discussed Natsuo's very bad experience with them. But you mentioned how they are very much pushing a certain "traditional family values" look on Enji. Meaning that the only look his kids see when not irl is very much biased and untrue. But the kids can't really get confirmation either way.

Oh yeah it's. It's a combination of things!

Enji himself is. He's kinda lost in his headspace and incredibly busy so a lot of the fatherly things he ends up doing are more.... bare minimum going through the motions. Make sure the kids are fed and bathed and do their chores and that they're doing well in school and discipline them when they break the rules and all that, but rarely having time to properly do things like family movie night or any talking like- like people. This was mitigated more when Rei was around, but then her mental health declined and she wasn't doing as much and now she's not doing jack because she's in the hospital(I don't mean this as a dunk her health is important too).

And then yeah there is. There is the bad shit he's doing. Whether it be things he is actively like 'I know on some level this is fucked but *insert justification here*' or the 'doesn't realize that this was bad because that's how he was raised and clearly he doesn't have childhood truama(YEAH ABOUT THAT-)!'. Either way it has a negative impact on the kids, which in turn effects their perception of him.

There's also a lot of half-truths where the kids know some information but don't have all of the context, like everything going on with Rei.

You also have the different kids and their own perceptions. Toya and Fuyumi are old enough to have genuine good and happy memories while Natsuo and Shoto aren't. And Toya's good memories get tainted by later traumas so he thinks it was all either fake or just 'dad's goals coincidentally was something that made me happy as a kid'. And I'm gonna bring it up later but in Road to Hell I dragged Selkie into this and yeah there's going to be a falling out there so while Toya and Fuyumi remember him being basically their uncle, Shoto definitely doesn't(Natsuo is up in the air rn).

The PR Team stuff is mixed in to that. Even though the kids don't go actively looking online for stuff about their dad(they did that once, discovered the fanfic sites, and tried to induce amnesia). But they do still run across that sort of stuff. And yeah the PR Team is cultivating the image they want/what they /think/ Endeavor wants for himself. Which yeah is something the kids don't feel safe and comfortable with when it comes to things like being gay.

And like. On the Mutation Quirks. I have a plan for a conversation where Shoto says something casual like about it with the class and it's Izuku who kinda goes 'Actually that sounds odd'. (Because ofc while he has his obvious favorite he knows a LOT of obscure facts about a lot of active Heroes especially ones like Endeavor who are a big name.) And he elaborates on this in a 'if we're gonna hate him we hate him for the right reasons' by saying that he's aware on how it's harder to find nowadays but you can find older video clips where he shuts down assholes talking Anti-Mutation sentiments.

Then ofc the big thing with the PR team which very much colors Natsuo's perception and he might've told Fuyumi and Shoto about that which. Fuyumi doubts it but Shoto would believe it.

So yeah it's. There's. There's so much going on and there's definitely a lot that Enji did wrong but there's also stuff that was kinda out of his hands.

K, random thought - Himiko goes home with Shoto 1 weekend. Somehow, dentists come up. Natsuo: "Yeah, dad swapped us to a new guy when I was, what, 6?" / Himiko: "Who was your old dentist?" / Natsuo: "*name*" / Himiko: "Oh! That’s my dentist! Huh, small world, right?" / Enji, who was walking by: "I beg your FUCKING PARDON-"

Enji, staring suspiciously at her mouth: "Did he ever try to file down your teeth?"

Himiko: "Oh he did! Apparently part of my Quirk includes my teeth growing back! My parents weren't happy but it was either leave them be or take me in to have it done every two weeks, which is expensive even for them. So they just told me to stop smiling like some deviant and learn to hide them!"

Enji: *various alarm bells going off*

Honestly I think this is funniest the earlier it happens just in the sense of like.

The siblings are seeing Enji be clearly concerned about Himiko's statements(as anyone should tbh) and poking to investigate what abuse she might be dealing with at home and is relieved to hear that the UA staff are already helping her and all.

But ofc Shoto, Natsuo and even Fuyumi a little bit are just like 'my dude why are you like this the call is coming from inside the fucking house?!?!?!'
