This was a great way to start our Tuesday morning. We added both of these piercings and we talked about possibly adding a couple faux pals to the ends of her Conch ring. #appmember #safepiercing #springfieldmobodypiercing #kaleidoscope1972 #kscope4fun #417land #417shop #417bodypiercing #417piercings #associationofprofessionalpiercerls #missouristateuniversity #evangeluniversity #conchpiercing #daithpiercing (at Kaleidoscope) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8KqMgRHYBS/?igshid=lxyl8iy7qrll

So I was asked if I could write a text like a sum up of your experience with the christina and nipple piercing being a swim teacher/ lifeguard
On November 19th, 2018 I got my nipples pierced with 12g barbells. The next day I wore nexcare waterproof bandages over my piercings to work. My piercings sayed dry. I did this for about two weeks but my nipples were starting to get too sensitive from the bandages and not the piercings. Afterwards I swam and had no issues.
On February 20th 2019, I had a work meeting which required me to practice in-water lifeguard saves. Everything was going well until right nipple got between my coworkers body and the lifeguard tube. My nipple was bleeding but I checked and it looked fine. The next week it was stinging. I did everything I could think of; saline; saltwater soaks, running it in hot water and the lovely tea tree oil. Nothing worked. I went to my doctor, who also has many piercings, she said that it was infected but I did not need any antibiotics since it was very small. She told me to use antibacterial soap to clean it and she told me to use neosporin. I was taken aback due to the fact that every piercer I know say to never use ointment but at this point I was ready to try everything.
My nipple healed three days later but the damage was already done. The barbell was almost vertical due to migration. I went to my piercer in June, 2019 and she told me to take it out. I took it out in August due to the fact that I did not want to part with it.
In September 2019, I went to another shop after class to get my right nipple and a christina done the fact that my main piercer does not do genitals and the other piercer I mainly consult was not open yet. This shop was really cheap and I wouldn’t really recommend anyone go there unless it was for ears or nostrils.  Anyways, when my right nipple was pierced, he used the wrong gauge. instead of 12g he used 14g. So on my right nipple I had 14g and on my left 12g. For my christina, it hurt like a bitch and it was slightly crooked but I didn’t care, it was unique.
you can check out how my first month went here
I had a blister on my christina and many people said it was not noticeable but I noticed and it bothered me so I continued to treated it as seen here. December 15th 2019, I took it out after noticing that it had migrated a lot. After thinking long and hard… I don’t think I’ll  get it redone. It bothered me a lot even though it was a cute piercing. The day after I took the Christina out, the bump disappeared.
As for the right nipple, it has not been bothering me at all. In fact I sometimes forget that it is there. I went to another shop to downsize the barbell on my left nipple so that both nipples would match but I am thinking about having it repierced. My piercer and many others said I didn’t need to but it looked a bit crooked. We’ll see sometimes I work myself up until pain no longer mattered. I also have trouble parting ways with a piercing so there’s that also.
I do think that my job did not help at all from the fact that the pool is quite filthy and that there is a lot of bacteria swimming around. Also some of my students would accidentally kick my christina, trying to push off from me and that hurt so much.
Anyways that’s my experience if anyone has any questions hmu.

So I got the Christina out and went to sleep and y’all know how I’ve had this ugly bump on on the piercing. Welll the bump is now drastically smaller when I woke up which has me wonder if the piercer gave me surgical steel instead of titanium like I asked 🙃 I mean... when I asked for a 12g barbell for when I was getting my right nipple re pierced he put in 14g instead and said it was 12g (I know 12g is not common but my left nipple was 12g ended up downsizing the left side) anyways bump is pretty much gone but I gotta wait for a couple months to get it redone 😭
Anyways I’ve had many issues with this one piercer I’ve been to 3 other shops and none of them have ever caused me as many issues as that one particular one so I guess when I get my Christina redone I’m going somewhere else 🙃

Pretty sure my christina migrated oof. It’s honestly starting to bother me and I am considering to retire it due to the nature of my job in which I am always in a swimming pool. I’ll just wait until the beginning of april 2020 to decide whether it stays or not. If the irritation bump isn’t gone, I’ll take it out and have it redone

Being a lifeguard and swim instructor with piercings
So every time I get a new piercing I’m always told to stay away from pools. Unfortunately I can’t do that due to thee fact that I’m a lifeguard and a swim instructor. In all honesty healing has been alright since I clean my piercings right after my shift is over.
I have a lot of coworkers who have gotten fresh piercings and they have been fine. But that could be because they have nose and ear piercings.
What I have noticed is that the people at my job who mainly swim instruct get ear and nose piercings. The lifeguards mainly get navel, nose and ears.
I’m both but I only have my ears, Christina and Nipples pierced.
I have come to notice that the lifeguards have less of a chance of having some complications due to the fact that they are not in the water as much as swim instructors.
The only times me or my coworkers ever had an infections as far as I know is when a student accidentally kicks the area or if it gets caught on something.
The only time I had to repierce was when I did a rescue and the persons body and the lifeguard tube snagged on my right nipple piercing. Other than that my other piercings have been ok.
Yes, I have experienced some infections but they go away after doing some sea salt soaks, saline sprays and using antibacterial soap. If it gets worse you might want to see a doctor.
Also I’m not saying to go ahead and jump in a pool like... listen to your piercer the pool is absolutely filthy and there’s a lot of bacteria in it. If you can stay out of the pool until your piercing is healed but if you’re like me where it’s literally your job to be in the pool, clean that biz

First month of my Christina piercing
So last month, I got a Christina piercing. Every time I needed help I would go online but there’s not a lot of info on that so that’s what I’ll post about first.
First day of the piercing: the needle coming out was where the pain was but right after, the pain was gone and I was able to walk around and work out normally.
First week: thought I started my period but it was just the piercing bleeding. Just wear a pad and it’ll be ok. I was only bleeding for one day that week
Second week: piercing stopped bleeding but a blister appeared. I put a pimple patch on it and it went down a lot. I talked to multiple piercers and they said it was normal and it’ll go down on its own eventually and that it’s not really a blister.
Third week: piercing was itchy as hell but there was no bleeding or crusting. This only lasted one day and it’s good to follow the “don’t fuck with the piercing” rule and did a sea salt soak.
This week: so the top gem went inside me 2 days ago and I went to another piercing shop, yesterday. I was told that the top gem was too small and so he gave me a new and bigger one. He also told me to stop sleeping belly down until it is healed. The bleeding has lessened, today, but it’s still there tho. Overall it doesn’t hurt and when I do catch it bleeding I just put pressure on it so the blood could clot and after that all was well. If the blood is not clotting, contact your doctor ASAP.

Sorry for the poor quality photos but I got my eyebrows repierced in a more inner position. 😊 The head piercer wasn’t available today so I’ll get my bridge piercing done in a few days on Wednesday. Would do it sooner but the shop is closed Sunday to Monday and Tuesday is one of my exams. #eyebrowpiercing #eyebrowpiercings #doubleeyebrowpiercing #doubleeyebrowpiercings #piercing #piercings #guyswithpiercings #bodymods #guyswithbodymods https://www.instagram.com/p/B5gvdTIBZhR/?igshid=1txm1rl4f5vip
