By merging falling jugs with an earlier collage emerges my piece called ‘Jug Junk juggling’

Copper Jug Fall…homage to Duchamp and Hockney. The latter used photo collage with his Nevada Desert work the best example. The former painted his lady walking down the stairs.

Painting & collaging over last weekend which will be worked into with more layers. The idea was to experiment with layers. The monochromes were based on sketch book work on Peter Doig’s ‘Echo Lake’.
Doig’s ‘Echo Lake’ the central section was sketched by me into my sketch book a week or so ago. I worked during the weekend and discovered the artists reference to Munch’s scream.

Tarot cards created last Friday evening. The cards for which I created the images were Nine of Wands-Reversed which relates to exhaustion, burnout, struggling to work toward goals. The Just Stop Oil image from the Evening Standard was used with nine oil well wands and the crack in the painting forming the IX (nine). Then the cacti with the model in shades stepping into a war crater. The graphite sketch is of nine Oscar wands with recipient crying. The Trump image was used in the 5 of Swords tarot card which has the meaning of unbridled ambition/Win at All Cost/Sneakiness. The final image was The Fool tarot card meaning Innocence/New Beginning or free spirited.
