Typically, during a test, participants will try to complete typical tasks while observers watch, listen and takes notes. If that’s not practical for the rapid turn around times demanded in the product development world, simply asking a friend to rattle off some initial thoughts on a design can go a long way.

Injection Molding Glossary - Terms and Definitions | PrintForm
At PrintForm we are in constant communication with engineers, mold-makers, CNC machinists, and other self-titled experts in manufacturing. Over the years, our molding experience has grown tremendously and with it, our vocabulary – the collection of which has become our internal molding dictionary of sorts. Instead of keeping it to ourselves, we thought we should share our experience with the world. Below are some of the most commonly used terms (sometimes incorrectly) that frequent our screens on a daily basis.
ANNEALING The process of relieving the internal stresses of molded plastic components by heating to a predetermined temperature, maintaining this temperature for a predetermined length of time, and slowly cooling the part.
BLOWING & FOAMING AGENTS Additives for plastics or rubbers that generate inert glasses within the resin matrix when heated. The resulting part construction will contain a cellular structure.
CAVITY Refers to the upper half of the injection mold, usually the show (outer) surface of the finished product and is mainly concave.
CORE Refers to the side of the tool where the plastic part is injected from; also known as the bottom half of the mold.

WHY IS NPS IMPORTANT?
Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a management tool that can be used to gauge the loyalty of an organization’s customer relationships. It serves as an alternative to traditional customer satisfaction research and is correlated with revenue growth. NPS has been widely adopted with more than two thirds of Fortune 1000 companies using the metric. Learn more about the NPS program here.

NPS can be as low as −100 (everybody is a detractor) or as high as +100 (everybody is a promoter). An NPS that is positive (i.e., higher than zero) is considered good, and an NPS over 50 is considered excellent.
HOW IS NPS CALCULATED?
The Net Promoter Score is calculated based on responses to a single question: How likely is it that you would recommend our company/product/service to a friend or colleague? The scoring for this answer is most often based on a 0 to 10 scale.
Those who respond with a score of 9 to 10 are called Promoters.
They are considered likely to exhibit value-creating behaviors, such as buying more, remaining customers for longer, and making more positive referrals to other potential customers.
Responses of 7 and 8 are labeled Passives.
A score of 0 to 6 are labeled Detractors.
They are believed to be less likely to exhibit value-creating behaviors.
