guild wars 2's story is largely a middling rpg plot, like 5/10 and 7/10s across the board, it doesn't do anything too special or deep but it has decently engaging characters and the accompanying world design makes it fun to play and see what happens next. and then occasionally it spends a grand total of 2 seconds focusing on something so fascinating and so engaging it knocks my socks off. and then it never touches on that topic again. and this is how it has single-handedly made me lose my marbles

Fuck it. I don't care if anyone else said this. I love how asura bounce when they jump or when they stop running.

when you get downed in guild wars 2 and go ah whatever i don’t care about winning this battle anyway these enemies just mugged me while i was passing through and i’m not really feeling it i’ll just let myself fully die and use a waypoint. but then someone comes to help you and they are really just fighting for their life to rez you. so, once prone on the floor, you have to start desperately mashing those downed skills too to save yourself as well because you can’t let their efforts be for nothing.

perhaps you're right about a flaming sword being a useless and extremely hazardous weapon to wield but the fact remains that i am wielding this kickass flaming sword and you are not

Remember kids, a good commander: 1. maintains intense eye contact 2. gets right in your face 3. t-poses to assert dominance Thank you to @rytlockdripstone for capturing this, I couldn't see it on my screen at all but the gif made me cry laughing.
