We too want to know when One Shot will address an update on whether they are going to do the right thing, and cut all ties with a known sexual predator (3 accusations and counting), or continue employing and defending him.

It seems like James D’Amato, Kat Kuhl, and One Shot Network are going to keep shielding a predator.

A New Victim of Priyanko Paul (“Pranks”) has come forward.

We received a trouble DM early yesterday.

There is at least one more victim.

We asked if we could share their story but the victim is afraid that there may be identifying information in their story that could let someone identify them. 

We told the victim that if they wanted to share publicly, they could do it safely through us. They gave us permission for now to identify that there *is* another person who has suffered from Pranks’s harassment and a short description: 

The accusation is more serious than the victim of the public accusation, including inappropriate touching (sexual) and stalking to the victim’s car, and trying to get into it. 

This is now the third accusation against Pranks (Priyanko Paul, @roguetldr). First, an accusation that he outed, slut shamed, and sex stalked floor mates and their partners. The second, inappropriate touching and attempting to drag a victim into his house against her will. 

We stand in solidarity with the victims of Pranks Paul.

This is the community One Shot has created. 

A community that thinks a brave person coming forward to accuse Priyanko Paul of sexually harassing and assaulting them is a “false flag”. 

People “surprised” that One Shot “thought about instantly firing him based on an anonymous reddit post”. 

People saying that One Shot doubting the victim’s claims is “well executed” and talking - IN FRONT OF THE VICTIM - how noble and strong One Shot is. 

People lecturing a victim on how s/he should react instead, and when she fights back, they condescend to her.

THIS IS THE “SAFE, INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY” ONE SHOT CREATED.

A brave victim came forward, and instead of defending the victim, One Shot is allowing people to attack them.

There’s no defence of this. 

It’s been three weeks now. No official word about Pranks.

WHY IS ONE SHOT PROTECTING AN ABUSER?

Because he’s their friend. And they’ll sooner assume the victim is lying, and try to convince their base (as seen above) that she’s lying.

Dogwhistling “threats to the network”. “Unsure”. “Professional”.

Encouraging people who would rather praise the Network than the brave victim who came forward.

This seems to all be about James D’Amato’s ego. 

It is not brave to listen to victims. It is not “well executed” or “respectable” to listen to victims. IT IS BASIC NECESSITY. 

But James D’Amato and Kat Kuhl seem to be revelling in the ego boosting they’re getting out of an assault victim’s trauma.

Priyanko Paul “Pranks”, is going to get away with harassing and attempting to abduct a fan.

Because two unnamed PhD students who went to his university get to decide on his fate. 

James D’Amato and Kat Kuhl want to see their friend protected. But they can’t do it themselves because it would go against their “progressive, safe space” look.

Instead, like last time, Pranks will get away with sexually harassing women and gay men. 

This is unacceptable.

One Shot admits to not believing the victim. 

And they want to deny the victim anonymity so as to prove it. They want to strip search the victim’s story for any hole they can get their friend out.

This is shameful.

Women have suffered enough. Priyanko Paul does not deserve to be protected when he has a history of sexual harassment. A history of sexual harassment is abuse.

Pranks Paul is an abuser. And One Shot Podcast Network is aiding him.

A victim is suffering. 

Other victims could be out there. 

Future victims are unprepared. 

And you stay silent.

You aren’t progressives.

You are protecting an abuser. Because he’s your friend.

Safe, inclusive space that ignores the victim. Safe, inclusive space where you tell bystanders more about what’s going on than the victim. 

James D’Amato is helping a serial abuser. Kat Kuhl is helping a serial abuser. One Shot is helping a serial abuser.

Your silence only helps him. No one except the few people who read the right tumblrs, the right twitters, and reddit at the right time know that it is even Priyanko Paul (*Pranks*) that was accused.

Why can’t you at least talk to the victim if you won’t warn your listeners?

Do you plan to defend him again? 

Because every time it will be less and less believable that you aren’t self-serving your friend.

Sound familiar? It should. One Shot, James D’Amato, and Kat Kuhl stand to repeat exactly what happened here.

Everyone rushing to downplay or defend a harasser and his enablers look even worse once the full story comes to light.

Priyanko Paul sexually harassed his dorm floor peers. One Shot, James D’Amato, and Kat Kuhl accepted that it was a long time ago and abusers can change.

Priyanko Paul is now being accused of harassment again.

Silence and “we’ll see” and refusing to respond to the victim anymore is all we’re getting.

Don’t let abusers win just because they’re your friend.

This is unacceptable.

You are complicit, Kat. You are complicit James.

Well, there we have it, friends.

One Shot’s official statement regarding Priyanko “Pranks” Paul’s harassment is “wait and see”. 

It turns out, even the victim doesn’t get to know first what the decision is. 

Meanwhile, unless you are on twitter or Tumblr and have seen the promulgation of the original accusation you would have no idea that Pranks has been accused of anything.

The victim’s original accusation is still unviewable on reddit, and none of James, Kat, Priyanko, Campaign Pod, Never Tell Me The Pods’ sites or social media seem to indicate anything is wrong. 

Only those who got to see the accusation in the first 8 hours on reddit would be any the wiser.

This is dangerous. A safe and inclusive community is one that is open and honest, not secretive and vindictive to the victim. 

Kat Kuhl, James D’Amato; you are hurting a victim, you are hurting your fans, and your reputation as safe, reputable cornerstones of this community are in jeopardy. 

This is not how you deal with sexual or physical assault by a member of your staff. 

This is how you lose trust.

This is how the system continues to hurt victims.

They are protecting a friend from accusations of abuse. They promise to “foster a safe, inclusive community”, but refuse to address the predator in their midst.

A victim’s words have been erased by James D’Amato.

There has been no acknowledgement, no replacement warning, or even an indication that harm has been done. 

Priyanko Paul (”Pranks”) has harmed someone, and instead of helping the victim, you are hiding and encouraging the perpetrator’s assault. 

Your friend’s reputation is more important than the fact he used his power to harass and assault a fan. Some would even call it attempted abduction. 

James D’Amato, Kat Kuhl. This is unacceptable. You are now complicit in the harm done to this victim and to any future victim. 

No future victim will want to come forward if you are just going to protect your friend.

You promised a “safe, inclusive community”.

While a victim has come forward to accuse Priyanko “Pranks” Paul of abuse and harassment, One Shot Network owner James D’Amato has stayed quiet for 4 days now. 

Turns out, he’s too busy playing video games to address the accusation of harassment and abuse levelled against his network and his friend. 

Refusing to even say out loud that Priyanko has been accused, James D’Amato and One Shot are slowly becoming more and more complicit in the erasure of a victim’s voice.

We expected better of One Shot, James D’Amato, Kat Kuhl, and the entire network. They are not fulfilling their promise of being a “safe space” in gaming. They are hiding a predator. 

Solidarity with the victim, and with any other victims out there that Pranks has preyed on, abused, and/or harassed.

Three days of silence from One Shot. Three days of silence from Priyanko. The original accusation still deleted by One Shot, three days later, for ~transparency~.

Two days since the victim spoke about One Shot trying to erase their voice and protect Pranks. 

Three days of nothing but static. 

Without a statement, with business as usual going on at One Shot, it seems harassment by one of their own isn’t worth addressing in a timely manner. 

Chances are, like the last accusation against Pranks, they will drop it quietly in late hours of a Friday to avoid anyone actually seeing it.
