im sorry rad fems sold you the lie that butches are only Non Threatening (TM) cis women with short hair who wear T-shirts and jeans with a carabiner, but the reality of the situation is a lot of butches are trans, genderqueer, physically imposing, big, male impersonators, hairy (especially including facial hair), sweaty, muscular, "ugly" and/or fat. some butches are into extreme body modification. some went bald. some are body builders. some are transfem butches who don't wanna overperform womanhood, take estrogen, or medically transition. some butches start testosterone strictly to feel more like a butch. some butches pass as cis men, and some need to do so in order to feel like their butch selves. soft butches are great, but that's not the "One Right Way" to be butch. the butches i'm attracted to would make a rad fem scream and cry and piss themselves on the floor.

I see everyone is talking about old queers, the first openly queer person I met is my mom's work friend who is a lesbian when I was in elementary school. Didn't realize til much later why I found her so interesting
god isn't that just how it goes? when i was young, i was always drawn to lesbians and gay men, but i couldn't figure out why. it took ages for it to click. i'm glad you met her! it sounds like it set some of the wheels into motion for you

sick of seeing hate thrown towards “baby gays.” let them wear rainbows. let them wear their pride flags like capes. let them make jokes about their identity and talk about it all the time. let them wear tails and puppy ears. let them do what is constantly deemed as “cringe.” let them be excited about finally being able to express their true selves. they deserve it. we all deserve it.

We're genuinely so brave for the way we somehow manage to navigate cis society never knowing wtf is going on in their heads at any given time

crazy how people assume trans guys dont know if we had short naturally coloured hair and a basic style we'd "pass better." "you want tips on how to pass? no more fun piercings, jewelry, anything feminine, dyed hair, nail polish or nice things for you!" thanks but I choose joy and whimsy x

As a brown trans boy it sucked so badly to watch those “gender envy” slides on tik tok and see only white boys with fluffy hair. It was a little thing but it made me feel invisible even in my own community. So these are men that look like me and give me gender envy. If you’re POC disabled/ don’t see your self in common trans discussions feel free to add on.

i don't care how uncomfortable you are around cis men, queer cis men still need places to go, and sometimes, those spaces will be shared with yours. disabled and neurodivergent queer men and queer men of color especially need a place to go. the queer community isn't the "fuck cis men" community. that is the rad fem community. if you think cis men and people who read as cis men are inherently "too scary" or shouldn't be allowed in queer spaces, you joined the wrong community.

prioritizing mentalities like "people who look like cishet men aren't allowed in queer spaces" means putting your mild discomfort before the safety of other queer people and as a result cutting them off from community and resources they desperately need. saying "never transition/boymoding/butch/masc trans women look too much like cishet men and scare the women and enbies" prioritizes your comfort and need to pathologically avoid men and mascs over transfeminine people being addressed correctly and given access to resources. this is transmisogyny. this also conflates nonbinaryhood with womanhood which is also transphobic. saying that "women and enbies" need to be "protected" from "cishet men" is taking a page right out of rad fem ideology and actively endangers transfemmes, trans women, intersex people, non binary people, and other queer people
this is putting your squicks before the genuine needs of someone else. this is you refusing to understand non binary identities. you are mildly uncomfortable- they are fighting for their lives to find safety and community. you are mildly inconvenienced, they are being cut off from things that can save their lives. these are 2 entirely different situations to be in. you're "uncomfy" around tall people with deep voices, broad chests and shoulders, narrow hips, facial and body hair, they're fighting to stay off the streets, find access to HRT and gender affirming surgery, meet other trans people to know they're not alone, and find safety among people who get them.
look beyond the scope of your lived experience. sometimes in life you will be uncomfortable. you must challenge and face that discomfort in order to grow. you being mildly uncomfortable around someone with a deep voice and a square jaw identifying as a lesbian woman is a non-issue, especially when that woman needs to be around other queer women. we all face discomfort throughout our lives. we have all had bad experiences with certain "types" of people. but we must grow and move past our own discomfort, especially when it starts taking away rights from people who have not and will continue to not harm you in any way shape or form by sharing a space with you.

Insides outside!
Almost a week ago I got a hysterectomy as a part of my surgical transition.
I got a total hysterectomy, so I had my Cervix, Uterus, and Fallopian tubes removed, but I kept my Ovaries
Tumblr media
They take it all out through the Vaginal open and stitching close where the Cervix used to be.
So I’m left with no scars except for a few pokes on my belly that are no bigger then the drain holes you get during top surgery. (So about the size of a pencil eraser)
The scars on on my stomach where for the camera and gas so they can see what they are doing.
I know hysterectomies aren’t talked about as much as top-surgery is in the trans community, so I’m open to questions in comments or DMs (:
