Malcolm debated for ages whether or not he should do anything for Valentine’s Day for the team. When he was done debating that, he debated for ages on just what he should do for them. Because that’s what people do, right? Give things to friends on Valentine’s Day?

He debated cards. He debated flowers. He debated far more expensive, extravagant gestures...but he didn’t end up going for any of those. He got each member of the team bouquets of lollipops, instead— all flavors he thought they would like, tied together in a neat little bow.

For some reason, he liked that better than chocolates, or paper.

For some reason, to him, the lollipops meant something more.
