Professional Edge Nursing, INC. realizes that our Nation is being faced with a truly unique situation in the face of the Covid-19 global pandemic. PEN realizes that this is affecting everyone’s way of life at this time and it is important for us as a company to protect our valued and outstanding work force. We want to ensure their safety is currently being held in the highest regards and being able to return to a healthy and safe environment with the public.
We have Care Managers that work for our company throughout this great nation of ours and their health and safety are our #1 priority. During this time of social distancing and partnered with our client, all current in-home visits have been temporarily disbanded. Current communications with our members is being done telephonically so there is no risk to our Care managers, their families, loved ones, and others in their communities while still looking out for the well being of those members who are more at risk during these trying times.
Also, our client is currently allowing Care Managers to have telephonic visits with members outside their normal area of coverage in our Transitions program. This means that you can accept members outside a normal area of coverage to ensure all members, that may be distressed or at risk, can be looked after and monitored no matter where in the state they are located. When the ban is lifted, normal areas of coverage will be returned to.
Our team is very experienced in working in a virtual/online environment and we are very lucky to have this experience to make transitioning to this temporary telephonic very easy and smooth. We are focused on providing the assistance our Care Managers need.
Only after it has been deemed safe to return to normal home visits, will face to face visits return to normal. We will work very closely with our client to ensure this is only being done with the safety and health of all that are employed with Professional Edge Nursing.
Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by this pandemic. We applaud everyone on the front line of this national emergency for making this a safer place for everyone.
