Mods and a Dilema
So something that I’ve thought about is what modifications (mods) I want to do in the future. Other than the obvious fix the random dents (not even really a mod). I want to figure out what I want to do mechanically. My car is currently upwards of 235,000+ miles and I’m trying to decide whether I want to go on the hunt for another RSX, swap/rebuild the engine, or just give up on having an RSX. Sure I definitely don’t want to give up my dream car, I just don’t know what I want to do. More than likely I’ll end up with an engine swap. I’m also deciding on what other performance mods I would want. I do know however that the other aesthetic mods will come first and foremost. It just sucks when I don’t always have the time to jack my car up and sit under it all day.

Thoughts on Gate Keeping?
So something I didn’t realize was the car mod community has a lot of gate keeping going on. Gatekeeping as in not allowing others to join in the community. I didn’t realize this before when I was just a plus one to someone else’s show car but being in the community myself, especially as a female, I find that there’s a lot of nice people. However, I do occasionally find a few who will say “too bad it’s an automatic” or “you probably don’t even like cars” or “your car sucks because you’re a girl and do everything yourself.” This is discouraging but I also feel like there are certain people who gate keep because of the people who will simply buy a “cool” car and then total it or throw it to a junkyard after they're done. If this was the main reason for gatekeeping I could definitely see it being justified. After all, you’re just throwing away little snippets of history/ perfectly usable cars. In any case, it’s discouraging and sad.

Project Car
It feels a little odd to be back on tumblr but where better than to scream into a void about the love-hate relationship I have with my 2006 Acura RSX. Just too bad it’s not a manual
