oc-tober days 8 and 9 in one post! prompts are "past" and "future" so i decided to do some little doodles of some of my guys as younger and older than they are. haven't done something like this in a while it was fun :-)

day 6 of oc tober - "symbol"... it's valentino and some black cats. i was gonna do some more of these w different ocs and different animals but im tired and drawing animals that arent cartoonified is hard

if you are wondering what the #symbolism really is- aside from the obvious "symbol of bad luck" black cats are also often associated with being "sexy"* (see: catwoman) and like mischeviously slinking off into the night or whatever. i think that juxtaposition fits val quite nicely

*i would like to state for the record that i dont think any real life animal is sexy. just so people dont go misinterpreting me

days 1 through 3 of oc-tober! i decided to do all of these prompts in 1 image since i only decided on doing some of these prompts yesterday (the second in my timezone) and today's the third! whoopee!!!

this image features the oldest oc i can remember making (Silvya the Hedgehog, a sonic OC i made when i was about 8), a new oc of mine (Three, my OC based on captain 3 from splatoon), and a favourite oc (Anastagio, the human guy in the middle). it was hard to pick a favourite oc cause i love them all equally but if i had to pick one it'd be him because he just has that staying power to me. i have a warrior's bond with him

AITA for "lying" to my daughter for 16 years?

Using a throwaway because people may know who I am.

For some background context- I (44, F) was married to a man (43, M), for about 5 years, and during this marriage we had a daughter (19, F). I ended up divorcing him when our daughter was about 3 years old.

After I initially broke the news to my ex-husband about the divorce, he seemed upset, but he knew it needed to happen. However, upon being told that I would be taking full custody of my child (he had horrible memory problems and was thus unsuitable in my opinion to properly parent her) he became angry with me. From there he began to act strangely, and this all culminated in him attempting to kill me.

After this incident, though, he went completely off the map, and he was ruled as a missing person and eventually, presumed dead by the law. I couldn't possibly explain all of this to my poor daughter as it happened though, so, even before my ex husband was presumed dead I had acted as though he had died. That's all it was, just a little lie to preserve the innocence of my little girl.

Here is where it gets problematic, though. He was alive the whole time. He was hiding out in an abandoned building for God knows how long, and I had the displeasure of encountering him again when for some reason he and I were transported to the same alternate dimension (it's a long story and I'm not elaborating). And since the statute of limitations for his attempt to kill me has not run out, of course there's been trials happening and this is all going to have an end put to it.

But my daughter is extremely upset with me for "lying" to her about her biological father's status, saying she "missed him" (as if she would have even remembered him) and other stuff like that. But it's not my fault! I genuinely didn't know he was alive! And to make matters worse, she's been hanging around him more than me when we have to go to court together, and it's all just tearing me apart.

EDIT: Stop trying to claim that you know who is behind this account. Plenty of people have had their ex-husbands try to kill them using a reprogrammed robot, not just the CEO of the most influential robotics company in Europe. Also, stop asking for info on the alternate dimension thing, I'm not talking about it.

some days ago, on july 24th, 5 years had passed since i decided to put the name PROJECT: ASTIGMATISM to my original story and truly create it what it is today (and what it will be in the future!)... and for that, i had to draw something. here's to five years of writing, concepting, designing, and working to one day fully put my idea into fruition as a video game. i hope you'll see it through with me...!

it's autism month! i wanted to draw something for the occasion so who better than my most autistic oc (which is hard to pick from since theyre all autistic in some way), Juno! their most specialest of special interests is planes and air travel :-)

you are probably aware by now, but i too am autistic. its a big part of who i am & how i percieve the world, and even when it makes me feel depressed and sad about/because of it its still something i like about myself. i extend my support to any and all fellow autistic people this (and every) month, especially including high support needs & intellectually disabled autistic people who are so often left out of conversations about autism.
