Our 11th annual Domestic Violence counts census report is released today. It is filled with stories and statistics that illuminate the critical services provided every single day to survivors of domestic violence. Unfortunately, the phenomenal work of domestic violence programs is sadly undermined by a lack of resources. In a single day, nearly 12,000 requests for services could not be met due to a lack of funds, staffing, or both. Meet Katie Robinson, MS, RDT, Child Services Coordinator who specifically works with children 17 and younger here at Project Horizon! Katie, is using her voice to spread awareness about child abuse but also about the counseling services we provide. For all ages we offer FREE & CONFIDENTIAL counseling for anyone who has experience domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and child abuse. You can receive counseling whether the abuse is current or happened awhile ago. Counseling is also available for family and friends of those who have been abused.
