How I met the module aims!

Final piece
Throughout this module, I have focused on different areas of creating a podcast. Part of my work has been concentrating on sound quality and using professional equipment, another area I have looked at is the content side of podcasting. The final area, is editing. I was really proud of myself when the three areas came together to create my final piece for this module, and eight minute audio file that I could play during my assessment. This piece used all three personas, outdoor Sam, house Sam and studio Sam as different voices and ways of explaining the work I had created throughout this module. I had edited them together as if I was three people having a conversation with myself comma interrupting and laughing throughout. However, when I downloaded this piece from the program I was using, it affected and broke the volume of each person. This, unfortunately, made this piece of work unfit for its purpose. I am still extremely proud of it though.

I've been using a range of editing software, both on the laptop and different apps to see what works best!

TWC - creating a brand
I obviously need a foot fall on the account so that people know I exist, however, the most important thing for my profile to show is who I am and what I would be like as a celebrant. Couples are likely to check social media prior to meeting or booking, even if we have met at an event. I've spent time curating brand colours that match the logo and adding little hints and tips in mini videos like this. I looked at doing them as photos, however, my research indicates that reels were more popular. There are similar posts like this on my account:

After researching, I noticed people responded well to photos of people's face's within writing and reels so I attempted a combo!

TWC - Canva
Many, many hours googling, doing market research and I've started teaching myself how to make interactive, mind grabbing videos for my social media!

TWC - Instagram

I've slowly been building up the Instagram account, looking at other celebrants and professionals in the industry, trialing various methods of posting.

I've found that videos that are of me talking get more views, however it's also important to keep updated on what's trending and using that to make similar content.

Podcast
The Great Women Artists
Katy Hessel
I thought it was important to not only listen to podcasts to see how they were structured but also to look at the content. Hessel is a fantastic author and advocate for women so I was really excited to find this podcast. There are now over 148 episodes of this, with over 10 seasons and I absolutely love hearing about the artists, the work, and the way Hessel curates the information.
Favourite episodes (so far) include:
Witches in Art - Episode 141
Tracey Emin - Episode 91
Olivia Laing on Chantal Joffe, Sarah Lucas, Ana Mendieta - Episode 25
Wanda M Corn on Georgia O'Keeff - Episode 44

Samble's in Spain - Quick overview of them!
Sambling abroad! So, my friend's mum had hours or days to live so I flew to Spain with her. This is the first Samble abroad...
Safety first! This Samble addresses the importance of being aware of your surroundings whilst recording, if recording outside!
Perspective is everything! In this Samble, I reflect on how important it is to be aware of your perspective and how it can affect your mood, both day to day and over time.
Verbalising helps! So, something happened and I thought I would use a Samble to work through how I felt about it, what I could have done differently and possible next steps,

TWC- Penny and the Celebrant
I realised I was missing a trick and created an Insta account for the dog called 'Penny and the celebrant'. I am going to use this to show a more natural, human side of me whilst also promoting the business,

Strangers on a Bench - Tom Rosenthal
This is such a lovely podcast that gives space in a really interesting way. Tom sits on a different bench next to a stranger and asks them random questions - absolutely love this concept and it's very wholesome to listen to.

All Samble's are available on the USB to be handed in during my assessment.
What and why is a question related Samble?!
Are humans inherently flawed?
Is the concept of witches the same as Gods, in different cultures?
Let's talk about dog math.

The Wrexham Celebrant
Organised meetings with a website designer after I did the first draft of the website! After speaking with them, here is some stuff to think about:
Not much copy, I need to have more on all pages. Spend time looking at other celebrants websites to see what they have done.
Images are a bit blurry, can I add the full res ones instead?
What boxes do I want on the contact form? What do I need to know from people at the first interaction and what can I do on the follow-up call?
Think of a testimonials page: can I ask people to write testimonials for similar things I've done in the past?
Same with pics: pics of me with people at ceremonies would be good
