I don’t understand this corporate need for in office productivity. My mother has been a remote worker since 1998. She is not only an excellent employee but she also got to be there for me as my mom. Remote work gave her the ability to drive me and my siblings to school. The hypocrisy of the right to force you to have a family then not let you be there to raise one.

I keep seeing people responding to the executive order Trump signed defining biological sex as being fixed at conception, and everyone's making the same joke that it means all Americans are women now because all embryos develop as female at first (hence male nipples).

However, since the order declared biological sex to be based on what gametes (sex cells i.e. sperm or egg) one produces, then that obviously means that no one has a biological sex since no one produces gametes at conception. Congrats Trump! Everyone's non-binary now.

For the most stunning act of bravery, class, integrity, and speaking truth to power that has graced the USA in far too long.

Not a single shake in her voice as she spoke directly to one of the most vengeful, spiteful, and (unfortunately) powerful people on the planet, while also receiving glares of hate and outrage from the despicable VP and his wife.

It's not the first time she's stood up for what is right in defiance of trump's actions, but while many may speak out on it, there have been scarcely any with the backbone to follow through on the opportunity to do it to his face, and especially on live television. She had her moment, and she didn't waste it.

May she be the inspiration we all take forward with us into the turbulent times ahead.
