hii!i am curious about something when it comes to pastrydash. are the heterochromia things that both strawberry cookie and walnut cookie share related to artificial flavoring in some way? strawberry cookie's design is what made me curious about it, and i noticed walnut shared it too! if this is a Thing, would that then mean that walnut's bio mom is artificially flavored, leading to walnut being maybe a candied walnut of sorts? or is it just a coincidence lol (just normal heterochromia)

when you mentioned that es and sm are the beasts that are in the most agony, i got curious about the curse that silent salt and blackberry share. i've been imagining it as this rotting-from-the-inside-out kind of thing (which would be Pretty Painful all things considered), so is it more of a gradual decay that isn't really felt, or is silent salt just so far gone that they don't have the nerves to feel it anymore, and thus are no longer in agony because of it?

You’d be correct! I’ve explained that it works almost as an autoimmune disease. As the soulstone is causing the body to essentially slowly rot and corrode.

The curse itself can move at different speeds depending on the situation and if it’s triggered and worsened. In Blackberry’s case her tampering with dark magic in her younger years sped up the process for a short time. In Silent Salt’s case their souljam slowed the process of it! (the soul jam grants immortality thus it halted the speed.) BUT when they began their corruption it quickly sped up and worsened. By the time Millennial Tree and Sugarswan intervened and cursed the beasts they were merely a husk of their former self. Their Beast from represents this as they’re merely a reanimated husk of their former self.

I’d love to make a full detailed post of how the curse works eventually but I hope this helps!
