My name is Debbie Crow. I am the Broker in Charge of South Carolina Real Estate Investors located at 1650 Willie Kay Rd Donalds SC. I have been involved in Real Estate in one way or another for over 27 years. I started out in property investment on a personal level and realized that I was very gifted in this area. After many years of buying property for resale, I decided to become licensed to sell real estate and help other people. Experience really is the best teacher. Prior to becoming licensed, I was involved in several transactions involving 1031 tax exchanges, timber sales and property management. This gave me the head start I needed to handle transactions for the public. It enabled me to give knowledgeable, common sense advice and offer high quality service. Our family owns Crow Farms. I grew up in the Willamette Valley and lived on a farm for many years. Much of my life has been involved in day to day operations of a functioning farm.
That changes how you would operate and the way you would look at things. Before I went broke years ago, I used to buy and sell for a living, so I was buying to flip. It does change things. For instance, I was looking at a piece of ground the other day that was in an area where it’s going to be a while before that’s a prime area, but I’m buying it thinking 15 or 20 years out. That was my analysis of the piece of ground, which makes you look at it differently. If I had to turn around and put it back on the market for sale today, I wouldn’t even be looking at that property. Rule number two is you need to decide what your hold period is and how long you’re looking at it. As far as rates of return, basically real estate is beautiful in that it creates three types of rates of return.

These time spans can include several decades. Real estate has never underperformed inflation over a decade. You get to deduct your mortgage interest and depreciate your property on your taxes.
