Today I was inspired by a coffee cup... "Close your eyes. Open your mind" -#WisdomfromaCoffeeCup Sometimes we hold ourselves back by what we can see outside of us. When you close your eyes and open your mind, you can see what's inside of you. That picture is limitless. This is the power if vision. Sometimes you need to close your eyes to see the world in a different way. Then hold that picture in your mind and heart. When you open your eyes, you will see a different picture. This is when your brain goes to work. Your minds function is to keep you sane. It will give you endless energy to make the pictures match. It will drive you to the dominate picture. "Unhappy consumers are the new competitors" a Clarism Let me explain. Let's look at the three biggest companies to disrupt industries of late. Netflix, Uber and AirBnB all have changed the game. Not one of these businesses was in the industry they are in now. Not one of these businesses were competitors to other businesses. They are now though. Each of these businesses was started by unhappy consumers! Existing businesses weren't meeting the deeper need of consumers. They weren't listening to or willing to change to meet consumer needs. So the consumer took control and changed the game. Technology and the internet has changed the landscape. Remember WHY (Purpose) your business was started. To solve a problem for people. A title does not make you a leader, your behaviour does. We know that 'how I think determines how I act' so it begs the question... Do I even need to be in a position to be an outstanding leader?
