As of Book 3 Chapter 21, we've finally got new suits baby!!!! When's the last time THAT happened? ...don't answer that.

RAMBLY NOTES

I had to chop it up cuz tumblr sucks but i LIKE the lineup look, it's like my signature at this point

Yes I gave them the Elemental Robes earlier than the show does. This way, we don't have to rely on ~magic~ for the upgrade (though Lloyd's Gold variant still comes about the same way, so some of the ~awe~ of THAT moment is maintained), Jesse and Nya get the opportunity to have variants too, and...it's been a LONG time since we got new suits, I figured now was a good a time as any lol

I kept them pretty simple here since they were pretty simple in canon (and also makes them easier to draw consistently, something I learned the hard way from last time hnnnng)

Lloyd's haircut is from Post-Child's Play, as you could probably already guess. He is still 14 here, just slightly taller and with less embarrassing hair. And obvs Lloyd's Gold variant comes after his True Potential down the line wheeeee

Yes this a simplified/clarified version of the outfit Lloyd wears here

Jesse has his naginata! (though in-story still doesn't have it yet.....)

Cole and Zane are posed like that cuz I was gonna do cool power effects with them but I got tired lol. Zane's also slightly shorter than he should because he wouldn't FIT

Sorry the grids are a little mix-matched that's the best I could do

anyway i might tweak these up as bit more as the story goes on, but for now, we have a proof of concept!!!!!

Antonia represses a smirk at the question, folding her arms.

"Oh, him? He was pretty normal…except for the giant ring of a purple bruise around his neck!"

Jesse blanches. "Wait, what—"

"And if you want to find out more, well, why don't you ask him yourself?"

Before Jesse can protest that, Antonia's pushing him down the hall. He immediately loses his footing and starts stumbling across the floor like a newborn fawn, and for the moment all he can think about is how bad it's going to hurt when he face-plants on floor. Great, if he doesn’t die from information overload it'll definitely be from embarrassment—

Cole Brookstone grabs Jesse single-handedly by the shirt and manages to stop him from face planting.

“It happened once?!” Jesse yelps. Kai flinches defensively.

Fuchsia then snaps his fingers, and instead of conjuring up an ear-shattering boom, he vanishes into thin air in the blink of an eye. Cole stands astonished, the wind blowing his bangs into his face as he's left alone on the dock with only twin tulips for company.

And okay, the gesture might turn her heart to goo just a bit. Instead of letting that get out, she plops herself next to Lloyd and accepts his offering. Lloyd beams at her, and the two quietly partake in the snack as the ninja continue to loll around complaining.
