Thanks to 18yo me, I downloaded from SpM fan sites every single photo that I saw and saved it until nowadays :D To be historian means to keep sources (and I kept even my fanfiction from those years if you know what I mean)

Some archive Spartak/Emery stuff from twitter

I'm still looking through my archive Spartak materials, found smth interesting from 2012 year - screenshots from the twitter of Oleg Semenov "Mosfilmovsky", one of the most famous and respectful red-white fans and also head of the fan club of SpM. In 2012 he visited all the matches, the base in Tarasovka etc., also contacted with the team and Emery himself. Here what he wrote then:

11 june 2012. "As witnesses say, the training session with Emery was very intensive and interesting. He looks like a cute and kind guy :-)"

25 august 2012. "Emery's speech before the game is so emotonal, I can hear it from the 2nd floor. Cool :-)"

3 november 2012. "Red-white Mozhga - Udmurtian [region of Russia] SM fans gave Emery local organic cheese and smile. The first question for him on the press-conference was about this cheese - did he like it etc. They blew up the media :-)"

[Don't even ask me what was going on there bc I don't know, but it's cute :D Also I don't have a screenshot but I remember that Oleg wrote that Emery was always gentle with fans and never refused to make a photo or sign something]

8 november 2012. "Emery before the match [with Benfica in CL, lost 0:2] and the press-conference - he has huge red circles under the eyes, he is so worried, I've never seen him like that before"

16 november 2012. "Emery wished me bon appetit... in pure Russian language :-)"

The same day. "Before the dinner Emery discovered that Kombarov had become a father, and immediately asked "Is he here or he left to see his wife?" :-) After all, he is a kind guy"

25 november 2012, the last day of Emery in Spartak. "Initially, two players told Emery to go fuck himself... now the whole team do it. Shareholders [of the club] chose the team and sacked the coach".

Short sad story, like the one of Hemingway. I was 18 yo then and watched it almost in direct and all this shit traumatized me as hell :D But I also remember that most of SpM fans didn't blame Emery, the most of comments on the main fan community "VV" (smth like forum, btw it's still alive and you can read it) was like "Emery is not the problem, they made him a scapegoat, the problem lies within the club and the players". So I was always glad to see him succeed in another teams, but wtf was that in 2012 idk
