Katsu was last weekend hence my absence since I was sewing like a madman, but I got everything I needed to get done. It was a good time, but I’ve made the decision to not go back to Katsu next year since the con is just not for me anymore. 

But I’ve spent this past week just recovering from the con, working, editing vlogs, etc, etc, so I haven’t had time for tumblr. I’m going out today but tonight I should be able to crack down and do stuff on here again. 

Kat left me a beautiful reply to come back to and I’m hyped to get working on it. 

Also, since Berseria blogs are starting to follow, I’ve been too busy concrunching so my game has literally been collecting dust for a month. The most I did was open it to take out the swag and display it in my room. So sorry, I won’t be able to properly interact with you base on your canons just yet, and you’ll probably have to explain stuff to me too, but I’m 100% okey with interacting. 

Spoilers are also never an issue with me since I don’t care for them, so don’t be concerned about spoiling the game for me either. I tend to do that to myself on my own a lot of the time, so I don’t really care. 

Alright, I need to get ready now for my ladynoir date with my bro for a geek girl brunch event in the city. Catch you guys later tonight <3

She had been gone for some time - it had been many months since she went out on her journey to follow the Blossomgales… It took her to the far corners of the world, and seeing it with her own two violet eyes made her happy. She saw places she knew and places she didn’t, but she was living. 

She had a communicator she received from Pascal so she could keep in contact with everyone, but it was nothing when compared to the joy she found in hearing their voices. She loved their laughs and how they said her name as if she were the most precious treasure of all. 

They were her friends, but she truly considered them her family and she missed them dearly - though there was one who truly was her family. Her father. And going without seeing him for months gave her a feeling of loneliness in her heart like nothing else - but it also made excitement bloom within her as she neared her home.

When she at long last made it to the Lhant gates, she paused. It had been so long that the air had chilled, and the skies had grown grey as if threatening to snow at any moment. She inhaled deeply and when she released it her breath left her lips as a wispy white plume. 

It was winter in Lhant.

She stayed put at the gates, allowing her homecoming to seep in to every corner of her heart. Her lilac eyes, as their focus wandered over the town, caught hold of a very familiar (and very beloved) figure at the bottom of the stairs. 

She hadn’t told him she would be returning this particular day, so she knew it had to be a coincidence, but it brought a smile to her lips regardless. She was truly home again. 

“Asbel!” She called out, running through the gates and to the top of the stairs. Without a moment’s pause she leapt down the stairs and only halted her haste when she was right in front of him, her breath still coming out in little white puffs. “Asbel, I’m home!”

Asbel looked at the papers before him absentmindedly.  He has been at it for hours but seemed like every time he finished one assignment then five more would take its place.  At this point all Asbel wanted to do was collapse where he was.  

While Asbel has gotten better over time with staying in one place and focus on his work, he still needed time to go on even just a stroll around Lhant.  He hated being locked away in a room for too long.  Rather than signing papers, Asbel always felt better about going out and being actively proactive with helping others, but he knew his job was an important one and what he was doing would make a difference for his people now and in the future. 

However, even knowing that didn’t change the fact that he was restless. 

It didn’t help that he was also alone.  Sure, he had his mom and Fredric, but it wasn’t the same.  He missed all his friends.  Richard was busy running the country, Pascal and Captain Malik in Fendel making words of improvements, Hubert doing his military thing, Cheria with her Relief Aid, and then there was Sophie who was traversing the world following the Blossomgales. 

Everyone was off doing something pretty amazing while he was stuck signing some papers and longing companionship once again.  

Even if their travels together seemed to result in a save the world situation which became rather dire and almost loosing everyone he cared about, the travels the seven of them shared together was some of the best and fun times of his life despite the craziness and the dangers.  There were plenty of good times amongst the bad.

Asbel turned around from his seat and stared up at the sky.  Even if everyone was miles away, he knew that everyone was still looking up at this same sky so even if they weren’t here with him now, they truly weren’t that far away. 

And hey, if Asbel worked hard, then he, Richard and Sophie can all go on that journey they talked about together.  Just the three of them--well four of them, if you include Lambda.  He was part of the friendship pact too now after all. 

With renewed vigor, Asbel was ready to get back to work.  He had a long way to go as a Lord in order to qualify going on a break and traveling the world again.  His mom even specifically said unless Richard himself summoned him and the world wasn’t in a crisis where it was about to end, he was not allowed to go farther than Lhant Hill. 

And that’s when it happened.  

Just as Asbel was about to pick up another packet to go over, he heard a familiar voice.

--It couldn’t be.

Asbel immediately got up from his seat and ran for the door.  Swinging the office door open much louder than he meant to and judging by the sound he might have broke a hinge from the sheer amount of force he used, but he couldn’t be bothered to really exam the state of the door at this given moment.

Beating Fredric and any one of the maids in the manor, Asbel swung the front door open. 

There she was. 

“ Sophie, ” Asbel smiled.  Sophie was finally home.  It was so hard letting her go off and traveling the world on her own, but Asbel knew she was a big girl and there were things she needed to experience for herself. (Not to mention the last time Asbel trailed Sophie for her travels, when he got back he sure got an earful from his mother.)

“ Welcome home. ”

“I’m sorry to summon you here like this,” Richard began, apologizing before he’d even said hello. It had been so long since he’d seen Asbel, and much of it was his own fault. His duties kept him so tied to the throne that he hadn’t even the time to make it out to Lhant to visit those he cherished most. It seemed the only time they could meet was when it involved his duty, and that left guilt weighing heavily upon his shoulders. 

“I’m certain you’ve been busy in Lhant, but I didn’t know who else to ask, or who else I could trust.” 

Asbel gazed up to the castle before him.  It’s been a long time since he stepped foot in the capital; it had to be at least six months.  

Six months was a long time. 

Six months since he was in this castle. Six months since he walked the capital streets. Six months since Asbel has seen his best friend.  That final thought left Asbel with a slight ping in his chest.  He wished he could come to Barona more often and see Richard, but at the same time, Asbel knew that it couldn’t be helped.  Just as Richard had an important duty to run a country he had to run Lhant.  Not to mention there was so much for Asbel to learn.  His father was an amazing lord for the town, but he knew he was nowhere near as capable as his father was, so there was high expectations Asbel knew he had to meet.  And seeing as he spent seven years away from home training to be a knight, there was seven years of learning and catching up Asbel knew he had to do. His mother and Fredric both say he’s doing great, but Asbel wasn’t one to just settle with fine and was always aiming to do better especially when it came to protecting those he cared about. 

Taking out the letter Richard wrote out to him, Asbel begun to read over it once again.  Richard didn’t get into specifics to why, but he asked him to come to the capital.   If Richard was asking him to come to the capital then Asbel knew it had to be important and knowing that, Asbel had to admit that it left him slightly concerned.

Folding the letter back nicely and slipping it back into his pocket, Asbel made his way through the gates, nodding to the knights standing guard as they gave him a salute.  Familiar with the halls, Asbel made his way to the throne room where he was sure Richard was waiting for him right now.

Asbel pushed the doors open and made his way up the stairs to see Richard by the throne, and genuflected before him before rising again. 

     “ It’s no problem at all Richard. You know I’m never to busy for you. ”

I think I’m gonna try doing small stuff on here again tonight since I can’t focus on cosplay all that well right now. So like this post if you wanna play.

I’m brushing the dust off some of my older blogs and gonna try rping again. I’ve missed this a lot. Mostly I’ve missed my Tales muses. I started doing a couple of things on Emil the other day so time to push myself to do stuff here on Asbel and Flynn again too.

Some of you may remember how I have a million blogs, but I’m gonna focus on these three for now. I wanna hop on Adrien again sometime in the near future and whoops make a couple more blogs too probably but that will all have to wait until after Katsucon ‘cuz whoops I’m in the middle of hardcore Katsucrunch. 

In fact, I should be working on cosplay now, but the state of my blogs and rping has been on my mind a lot lately, so I wanted to pop in here and say a few things. Also I’m taking a food break

Tales of Graces F Manga: Chapter 16 (x)

"So, are you friends? ...Good then. Make a friendship pact."

"I think--no, I know you're right," Asbel said. Richard, Sophie, Cheria, Hubert, Captain, and Pascal, to Asbel they were more than just simply friends. They're family. 

They were all very different people with different likes, and interests, but the time they spent together in their travels brought them all together, which at times tested the strength of friendships, but Asbel was happy to know no matter what life threw at them, they would all stick together. 

Growing up, Asbel messed up more times than he could count, and his actions caused a lot of suffering for those around him that he cared for, so he was going to do his best to make sure to protect everyone this time around. He wasn't going to make the same mistakes again. 

"That sounds great Richard," Asbel couldn't hide his enthusiasm at Richard's proposal. Aside from Sophie, Asbel didn't see anyone on a regular basis, so it would be nice to see everyone again. Seeing Richard now was a rare occasion for the both of them since they were both usually pretty busy, Asbel with Lhant, and Richard with the entire kingdom. 

"I have off the next few days, so why don't we plan this now? It's last minute, but we can see if everyone can do it in a few days time."

"It doesn’t feel so terribly long ago," Richard agreed. He wondered why that was, when the days felt endlessly long at times. "Perhaps that is simply a testament to how we remain connected, even now." 

"I must say, I do miss when we all travelled together," he spoke warmly. "Perhaps we ought to plan a gathering soon. It has been too long since we have all been together."

"Yeah," Asbel agreed. "You know it seems like yesterday when we were all traveling around together. Time sure flies. It's hard to believe that was so long ago now." 

"It’s remarkable just how quickly time passes at times, isn’t it?"
