so,  as  the  url  change  might  imply,  i’m  ditching  this  account.  this  wasn’t  a  decision  that  i  made  lightly,  i  adore  john  and  my  rp  partners  have  all  been  amazing  but  i  simply  can’t  get  aboard  with  the  g/ifted  anymore.  i  have  too  many  complaints  and  the  way  they’re  doing  things  with  their  poc  characters  is  just  very  yt.  i  thought  i  could  move  past  it  but  i  can’t.  so  to  everyone  here,  please  feel  free  to  unfollow  this blog!!  i’ll  be  over  on  my  other  account  @thcenemy​  if  anyone  needs  to  find  me,  otherwise !!  thanks  for  the  fond  memories :)

listen i went into the gifted excited and enjoying it but now i’m just complaining about it 24/7 but its too late to stop watching since the 2 hour finale is next tuesday

it’s so painfully obvious that the writers made john a marine as a quirk instead of something actually fundamental to his overall character like they just had it listed as a side note to give him something beyond “co-leader of mutant underground”. half of the shit that’s happening with the underground wouldn’t be happening if they actually bothered to build on john’s character and his history with the military. first of all you bet your ass john would have followed those children of the corn mfs to the hellfire dude and his chessboard because no self-respecting military man would be caught with his pants down twice after the bullshit those sisters pulled with the transport attack on sentinel services. in fact the only thing they’ve done correctly with john so far is his ability to compartmentalize and focus on the tasks at hand without succumbing to his grief / emotions.
