Zigzagzoon... A rather unimaginative name. I remained for much of the night and the following day observing their habits. The etymology is clear, moving in straight lines seems anathema to these clumsy beasts.
They also seem notably proficient at manipulating a blank energy profile, going so far as to use it on mundane tasks such as clearing out brush and trimming fur. It brings to the fore a question of their durability if they are willing to use such talents directly on each other's bodies... It would be less than effective to perform studies on such a small population, so I will have to wait until subjects can be aquired.
I will make my way to a settlement or town in my own time. You have provided valuable information despite your professed lack of academic inclination. These other 'researchers' may well provide a rudimentary enough framework to grasp what this realm lacks in understanding.
The plant life here seems broadly similar to that of the domains I formerly occupied, albeit somewhat more dense with energy. I am starting to reconsider my initial assessment that no intelligent design has touched this realm. Despite this, the impeding pressure of causality still does not register on my instruments.
Perhaps this is a designed world left to its own devices...? Certainly that would be an improvement.
There seems to be a den for some sort of animal here, as well. I will have to stay for a bit to observe.

I see... Certainly there is an element of fascination, but truly such serendipity is suspect.
Is Pokemon a local classification within your region? If you happened to have any studies on that matter that would be appreciated. Currently I am observing a group of particularly ragged looking raccoons. They have an exceptionally streamlined body plan despite their fur and seem to sacrifice their dexterous forelimbs to mimic an ermine relative... It is a shame I do not have any subordinates with me that specialize in ecological studies, it would be useful to explore what evolutionary niche they are fulfilling.

Fascinating. It seems Etemenanki's construction as a palace of the gods was insufficient to ensure its integrity within the dimensional void... As to be expected of a shoddy creation.
It does raise the question of why I remain intact, however. Such an event should have shorn my existence to dust, even with all it's might. Rather, I seem to be wholly intact, albeit bereft of my strength. I have barely retained the power to fabricate a suitable outfit.
I might consider it God's last cruel trick, and yet I cannot sense the mark of his design upon my surroundings. Perhaps this is but my reward, that I alone might be given the opportunity to observe the fruits of my labor? There are certainly no other Astral presences here. Rather, this land is lush and verdant without the directives to flourish... This may truly be the natural state of the world.
I have found no such indication of the Sky Realm either, and yet a primitive 'electronic network' seems accessible. From previous observations of a similarly facile innovation, it would appear the purpose is to record observations and banal thoughts for sharing amongst peers. It should make a suitable repository for my observations of this strange land.
I believe it is customary to introduce yourself and share an image of your appearance.

[Faller blog for Lucilius from Granblue Fantasy! A nihilistic Astral researcher and innovator that formerly tried to destroy existence, he now seems fascinated by the possibility of a world untouched by the God he defied. This definitely doesn't make him a good person, but he's lost most of his power and is relatively harmless... Perhaps the Pokemon World can convince him to stay that way!
