Katherine Pryde led a pretty normal life, being an incredibly intelligent and wise thirteen year old, Kitty was at the top of her class and was far more mature than most people her age. However when she turned thirteen, Kitty began to get increasingly horrible headaches. At first her parents thought that there may have been something wrong and sent her to hospital after hospital for testing.

Yet she realized the source of her headaches was actually her ability manifesting and when Kitty realized she could pass through solid matter, she was at a loss of what to do. That’s when Professor X found Kitty and told her of her powers and what she was. He offered up the school to her and she took it promptly, her parents actually incredibly supportive of her and her decision.

Kitty learned to develop her powers at Xavier’s and began to make friends, something she wasn’t really good at in Illinois. When the war began Kitty vowed to stay with her fellow mutants and in doing so she secured her parents safety more than she would have been able to otherwise. Kitty is part of the team that protects the X Mansion and will often go on missions where they know they will have to take on the sentinels, her phasing power incredibly useful.

Marie D’Ancanto: A bit like frenemies, Kitty sometimes really likes Rogue but then she feels a little bit jealous of the girl, knowing she also likes Bobby.

Ethan Lowell: Kitty can’t stand the rudeness of the boy and tends to get into a lot of bickering fights with him, feeling he is far too arrogant for his own good.

Robert Drake: Kitty has a pretty decent crush on Bobby and though she tries to forget about it and let the crush pass, she just can’t seem to stay away from the boy.
