We’re partnering again with Houston Cinema Arts Society for their festival, Houston Cinema Arts Festival, for a virtual engagement of Pier Kids. Stay tuned after the film for a prerecorded Q&A with Tony alongside director Elegance Bratton & producer Chester Algernal where we talk gems like Nan Goldin, the legacy of Christopher Street and the monumental impact friendship has on our lives.

The Texas Theatre and PSA. are proud to present this new 4K restoration of Claire Denis' iconic masterwork Beau Travail as part of the Sunset Drive-In Series. Tickets can be found here and directions for how the drive-in screening will operate can be found in the ticket link.

With the explosion of popularity with music videos becoming a new norm, multidisciplinary artist Derek Jarman’s venture to collaborating with pioneers like Pet Shop Boys, The Smiths, Marianne Faithfull and more, demonstrated music videos provided an alternative short form synthesizing the traditions of the television commercial with experimental film and avant grade practices. Pleasure Style Attitude presents Director’s in Focus: Derek Jarman’s Music Videos, a discussion celebrating Jarman’s artistic integrity alongside his friends in the underground scene actively inspired and inspiring outsider subculture.

We’re partnering with Houston Cinema Arts Society to present a free week-long virtual screening of seven films by Sky Hopinka & Simon Liu. 

Beginning May 10th at 10am and extending to 10pm on May 16th, those who register can view the program via a shared vimeo link. And on Wednesday, May 13 at 7pm CST, we will conduct a live virtual Q&A with both Sky and Simon on YouTube Live, moderated by programmer Michael Sicinski.
