I swear I’m still drawing! It’s just been a ridiculously busy summer of traveling and then getting ready to move at the end of the month. I can’t wait to get settled down...
I’m also pumped that my new place is going to be much better for studio space! It will be a lot easier for me to draw that way without feeling like I’m isolating myself from my husband.

All My Fantasy Children had an episode combining the prompts: "Where the thousand rivers meet, 2 siblings found a trading outpost. But as the town grows, so too does their rivalry" and "A pair of twins who run competing fantasy businesses.” This is my interpretation of their creations!
I started this a month ago, and I’ve been picking away at it in little half hour chunks... but it’s finally ready to share! Hoorah!

I’m not dead ...! But the spring is a dreadful time for work. I’m glad that things will be calming down for summer. I want to get back into the sorts of daily practice routines I had a few months ago, so keep an eye out for me!
This here is Moth, my smuggler for the game Blades in the Dark. I haven’t been able to play him for more than one session yet, but I’m definitely enjoying the experience so far.

“First you smell him, then you see him... Pumpkin Jay! You’re dead!”
I have been working on this piece since the beginning of February, but between work, travel for work, and my tablet’s drivers getting all ridiculous and non-functional... I’m glad I stuck it out, though, instead of getting frustrated and moving on to a different project.

Was practicing a couple things but don’t especially feel like finishing it...
I realized that if it’s bumming me out to work on it, I probably need to move on to a different project!

I haven’t done a serious effort at a self portrait in a long time. I’m pretty pleased with the result, and it makes me feel like my oil-painting-style is coming along at a reasonable pace.

Kanji Tatsumi is my hands-down favorite fictional character.
So, Kanji’s birthday was a couple days ago, and I wanted to celebrate! I made some treats for myself and folks at work, and then I drew this. I would’ve posted it day-of if work hadn’t been so busy that I had to wait for the weekend.

Haven’t tried anything chibi in a long time and wanted to see how I’d do.

Drafting a monster for a future project. I like the idea overall, but I need to try out a few different masks, too, to be sure that I like where it’s going.

More painting practice with the Witch from the Monsterhearts game I finished last year. In hindsight, I realized that one of the major things I should have done differently was a softer brush on the hair, but hey. Now I know.

My husband and a best friend played Our Radios Are Dying to celebrate the new year, and geez. It was a lot. I couldn’t watch it happen... I just had to sit off to the side and draw.
The game is intense, but it’s not for everyone. You can hear an episode about the game on the Party of One Podcast if you want to learn more!

I am effing in love with Yuri on Ice. I’ve watched the entire series twice this week... managed to keep the tears down to just three times.

Drawing more of my tabletop group’s Monsterhearts OCs. This one is “The Fae.”
Also, continuing to practice my painting-without-lineart, and I like the results here.

If you love tabletop gaming and haven’t heard of All My Fantasy Children, give them a listen! This is my effort at illustrating Nov. 26′s creation named Swiftwind (along with their intelligent artifact, the Messenger Sword).
I'm also practicing a more painter-ly style in this one, and it’s been fun to try!
