THE STARCHILD SKULL

Sometime around the 1930s, a young girl found a 900-year-old, anomalously shaped skull in a mine outside of Delicias, Mexico alongside a more typical-looking skull. The odd skull was stored in a barn by the original discoverer for many years until being given to its current owner in 1998. By 1999, an author named Lloyd Pye began investigating the abnormal skull to determine its origins. It was given the name "Starchild Skull", and Pye asserted that the only possible explanation for the deformities of the skull was that it belonged to an alien-human hybrid being. After all, it is shaped exactly how we have always pictured an alien's head to look. Its features include a bulbous cranium, close-set shallow eye sockets, missing jawbones, and broken eye sockets, among other things.

LLOYD PYE (1946-2013)

Lloyd Pye was an expert on the Starchild skull, having dedicated 15 years of his life to research on it. Lloyd Pye was also a famous and educated author; he said his studies "deal[t] with human origins." He had years of experience in paranormal research, notably on a variety of cryptozoological creatures. His accomplishments include the writing of multiple books, television appearances, and public speaking.

PYE'S BELIEFS ON THE STARCHILD SKULL: "The most important relic in history"

While waiting for DNA test results to come back, Pye could only speculate. Yet, he confidently predicted the results to make history by proving his alien-hybrid theory. The Starchild skull is malformed in so many key ways; Pye said that little about it compares to a normal human. None of its cranial bones are shaped or positioned as in humans. For this reason, he asserted that DNA evidence would prove the skull to be one of three things: (1) a pure alien; (2) an alien-human hybrid; or (3) "the most bizarre human deformity since The Elephant Man".

PYE'S THEORIES!

Pye claimed that the practice of earth mothers raising star children was common among remote peoples of the world up until the 20th century. He believed that women of remote villages are treated with immense respect, which is why they were given the honour to take care of star children. Unfortunately, now the unborn hybrid fetuses are raised in test tubes in outer space, instead of letting the mothers raise their star children. However, according to Pye, aliens are continuing genetic and sex-based experiments that produce hybrids between themselves and humans. We have every reason to believe this; Pye reminded us that gene mutations are inevitable over a long period. The aliens, being the oldest species, must be suffering from depleted gene pools. Since humans are a new species, we are the perfect subject for interbreeding and the restoration of the robustness of genes. The Starchild is an alleged product of this.

THE LONG-AWAITED DNA RESULTS...

After the cliffhanger-like drama that ensued while waiting for DNA testing back in 2013, results finally came back. And guess what?

Did I trick you there? Did you fall for the fallacies? Did you believe Lloyd's theories? That's okay if you did, I tried my hardest to convince you. But now let's think with a little bit more logic, and turn our attention to scientists.

WHAT SCIENTISTS HAVE TO SAY

A group of unbiased individuals set out to find the truth behind the Starchild skull. They were objective in their research; they simply wanted answers. These were their methods:

Find above-normal credentialed professionals to obtain admissible evidence independent of any other previously conducted research on the skull.

Perform an osteological exam on the skull.

Make an exact replica.

Conduct a forensic examination.

Take and examine x-rays.

Compare the skull to over 30 human skulls and 8 primate skulls.

Create a forensic sketch.

Conduct an osteological exam.

Extract DNA from the inside of the skull and a tooth.

Perform SEM testing.

Perform mitochondrial DNA testing, sex testing and Y-DNA testing.

These approaches seems more extensive and reliable than the unsubstantiated specultations presented by Lloyd Pye, don't they?
