so hard being dedicated to a platonic pairing with so few content. yessssss chiyo and kusuo are best friends 😍 yes he actively avoided her at the start of the series. so what so what so what! dont the best friendships start like "i didnt really like you at first 😢😂"

Kubosai fanfic idea where Kuboyasu and Saiki take their kids (Nendou, Kaidou, Hairo, etc…) out to a festival in town and Saiki is so focused on monitoring his friends that Kuboyasu has to step in and tell him that he doesn’t have to always watch over everyone all the time and that it’s not the end of the world if he has a little fun. And so, Saiki loosens up and lets himself enjoy the festival with Kuboyasu and their friends.

Basically dad friends get a break from watching their kids for once.

I picture Kusuke and Kusuo to have the "only I am allowed to do that" type sibling relationship. If Kusuke ever saw Kusuo being bullied, he would go absolutely ballistic on whoever is hurting his brother because he's the only one allowed to be an asshole to Kusuo.

kusuo and chiyo finally become close friends and he realises one thing: she might just be the most "regular" person out of all his friends. she has interests like any other teenage girl, she's well-liked in PK enough for people to pay attention to her, but not enough to cause waves like teruhashi (although, it wouldn't be a fair comparison to make in the first place).

outside of their usual companions in 2-3 and the PK psychickers, chiyo has other friends that are ordinary like her– including even satou hiroshi. she mentions to kusuo that they were classmates in their first year (HC!!! its a fav hc of mine that they're friends :-)). chiyo doesn't really like big crowds and events, much like kusuo. he's surprised they weren't friends sooner (maybe if chiyo hadn't pined over him for a few weeks)

kusuo and chiyo regularly hang out at her house. mrs. yumehara loves him and suggests he bring his mother along with him sometime, she'd love to meet her. kusuo nods. he figures the two would get along with their similar cheery nature. kurumi loves chiyo as well and dotes on her, as if she were her daughter.

chiyo finally learns about kusuo's powers, and he's relieved she doesn't make too much of a fuss over it. she reacts just as kusuo expected, flustered, embarrassed, curious.

"wait. does miko know?"

kusuo nods and tells her of the time he helped miko get rid of the mark of death that was on her face.

"oh... wait. when i 'dreamed' of dying at PK, did that really happen?"

kusuo nods again. he's the one that saved her, after all. chiyo engulfs him in a hug. it takes him aback, nevertheless, he smiles. chiyo thanks him endlessly for saving her and bakes him a cupcake that looks like him. [this is like the one on my birthday] "hehe yeah. i executed kokomi's vision :3"

there are more yumesai thoughts in my brain but they won't reveal themselves just yet. i just love thinking of chiyo and kusuo being friends

OH MY GOD WAIT. CHIYOKUSUO THRIFTING TOGETHERRRRR... Kusuo using psychometry on the clothes and he tells chiyo the stories of the people who once owned the clothes and she ends up buying a ton of clothes solely because of the story kusuo tells her.!!!! sometimes she pieces together outfits for kusuo :-P

Imagine if Shun becomes one of the Psykickers cuz he accidentally saw Saiki use his powers straight on, in an undeniable way, but he’s like “IF DARK REUNION FINDS OUT ABOUT YOUR POWERS, SAIKI, THEY WILL KIDNAP YOU AND TURN THE WORLD TO DARKNESS!” or whatever and actually does follow up on the secret-keeping. He slips up sometimes, but the others (who aren’t in the know already) just think it’s more of his chuunibyou shit and go “poor Saiki” or “omg is Saiki a chuunibyou too? 🤢” and his Dark Reunion and JET BLACK DRAGON’S SECOND-IN-COMMAND is a convenient cover-up (and decoy) for some of Saiki’a stunts. They think it’s a really weird LARPing or something lol

Same with the others. He’s so far the fifth member and the second normie to be part of the Psykickers
