Playing Different Games

So far this year I've mostly been playing one of the Kingdom Hearts games or Stardew Valley. [There were more than just those but I've mostly been thinking about games I've played on my PlayStation. It felt if I wasn't playing a Kingdom Hearts on my PlayStation it was Stardew Valley on my PC.]

But anyway I thought I'd play a game I haven't picked up in quite a few years. [I happened to have an HD collection at some point for my PS4.] Decided to play though Devil May Cry. I completely forgot the controls and how the game went aside from some story beats. [Not like there were many.

I think I bought more games this year than any other year and still the most booted game is Stardew Valley.

Had attempted to type out a bit of a ramble over errands done yesterday. The post wasn't posted sadly. Disappointing.

Guess I'll be redoing my rambling.

So I was mostly talking about shopping habits. I usually have one day to do most my shopping around the beginning of each month. Though there might be a random day here and there but the bulk is on that one day.

I'll try to keep this version a bit close.

I've gone to Dollar Tree to get a broom but they didn't have handles. So I just gotten some snacks and nail polish. They also have canned coffee that I like. I don't buy it often I like getting it once in a while. I like having Dollar Tree as an option to buy it instead of any other store in which the lowest price is still over $2.

There was a stop at Sam's Club to restock on soda. I also found that they had Pokemon cards. I picked some up since they had the Halloween packs. Also since my main collection binder is packed away I restarted with a new binder. So what I got yesterday would add lots of new cards to the binder.

Getting the pages for the binder was a bit of a pain. Three times I went to get two packs and I still don't have enough. [It's not that I have a lot of cards; but I've had them sorted by dex number.]

I also found a copy of the Switch remade of Star Wars: Pod Racer. [There is another game included on the cartage but I only care about Rod Racer.]

The trip was tiring.

A shopping trip

Sometimes I wonder how many other people would go to a store with the intention of paying almost entirely with coins. Personally I've done it a few times if I felt the need to.

I remember when I was young when I would get a collection of coins with no way to use them because at the time self checkout wasn't a thing yet and stores preferred cash over counting the coins given to them by a child.

So anyway, when self checkout and Coin Star became a thing it had become easier to use coins if you need to. The only thing I doing like about doing this it was it still takes a bit of time and I end up getting sore when it's done. But at the same time it's usable money. Why not use it?

Though on the other hand I think it would be nice to be able to save up and go to a coin store for some kind of eVoucher. Either Amazon or iTunes. I don't like using Coin Stars to get cash because of the fees. I didn't mind this at first since the fees didn't seem too bad at the time. But I think it's gone up over time. I'm at a point where I would rather be able to use all the money I saved up instead of paying a fee for trading it in for a form easier to use.

So, that's what I did today. I went to a store with the coins I've saved up though most of this year to do some shopping. I went to 5 Below since it's mostly self-checkout. It was a bit of a pain because every time I'm feeding money into the machine it's spitting most of it back out. So there was a point where I gave up and paid the rest in cash.

One funny thing is that I went in intending to get snacks and candy. Instead I go for stationary and art supplies with a bit of candy.

[I almost want to write a list and comment on what I got, but at the same time I feel like it's in poor taste. But at the same time I want to talk about what I got too. I think the list and notes is a way to justify everything to myself. So even if there is a list I'm not going to write all my thoughts.]

Notebooks.

Pens.

Pen holder. One thing I don't really feel I need but I thought it was cute and it can store erasers in a little drawer.

Erasers.

Calculator. Though the PC and phone both have a calculator feature it was a matter of preference.

Gouache Paint. I wanted to get back into painting. I also wanted to try a different kind of paint even though I mostly used acrylic before. It's like a mini version of the Himi paint that was popular on YouTube a while ago. The Jelly Paint. If anyone is interested this set has 12 colors. The little cups of paint look like they are smaller compared to Himi, but at the same time they have their own little lids to help keep the paint fresh. The case itself feels nice and the lid can be used as a palate.

Paint set. Palate and brushes. I didn't get any canvas because I already have a water color sketchbook so I'll use that for my test.

Choco Rocks. The one thing I went in the store for. I was in for a snack run. I barely got any snacks.

Dollar Store Finds

So, a few days ago I started seeing videos coming up on my YouTube feed. Between DIY projects with stuff found at a Dollar Tree of just interesting things a Dollar Tree is selling. So because of that I was urged to go look at the nearest Dollar Tree.

The main things I was going in for were for desk organization and socks. I saw some interesting socks in a few of the videos.

What I ended up getting

Socks. I didn't see many types of interesting socks but I found a few. The ones I found were Disney villains. Ursula, Malfeasant, and the Evil Queen from Snow White. They also had Cruella but I didn't want those.

Modular desk organization. The main goal. I would have liked to have gotten a few I managed to find one. That's good enough for now. [Pink]

Storage Caddy. I saw this at the fount of the store. I didn't have anything in mind but decided to use it for hair things.

Notebooks. I didn't need these but they looked cool.

Snacks. Gummies, Jelly Beans, Chips. Canned Coffee. Four different cans.

Water flavoring. I'm overstocked but I liked the look of this flavor.

im at a restaurant right now and there's this like 16 year old kid sitting at the table next to me completely alone with like 6 racks of ribs. hes eating like 1 rib every 10 seconds and the poor server who was assigned to him has to keep getting him new ribs. ive been here for an hour just watching this kid inhale ribs like he's gonna die the next day. he probably will given the amount of hot sauce he put on them

Since I've been motivated to rewatch the series I am started on season 4 today. Ironically I've been hoping to complete the rewatch before season 7 came out but that didn't happen.
