ive been to a lot of protests in my life and a thing that a lot of people dont understand is that a protest is a threat. its a large group of people saying “we are being nice now, but you must understand that if we stop being nice we have the power to cause you Problems”.
so everyone saying that protests have to be more polite or follow accepted rules is missing the entire point. the point of a protest is not to say “we disagree with you”, they already know that. the point of a protest is to make it clear that if they continue to do things you disagree with, you will burn down their house.
now this wont stop them because theyre stupid and arrogant and believe themselves to be beyond consequence. so here’s the really important thing and that’s that after they do it anyway, you have to burn down their house

I didn't know predstrogen or her blog but that doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't matter to you. if they came for her they will come for you. if you're not trans they will come for you when they're done with them.
hate doesn't start and end with one target, it morphs and amalgamates until no one is safe, and it lashes out a lot.

Kinda crazy to me seeing people tag things like "I had no idea the U.S. bombed Somalia recently" or "I had no idea Syria was still being bombed" and it's kind of crazy to me how the situation in Falasteen has opened Western people's eyes to the ongoing imperialism their countries are partaking in.
These are things we're accutely aware of because we discuss it with each other. When we call our families back home we hear the warplanes or the shooting. The geopolitics of the SWANA region are so deeply intertwined so we know about the politics of all or most countries in the region, whether they're our neighbouring countries or not.
All of us know about the Gulf countries' plots to control our countries and economies, all of us know about Egypt and its attempts and partial successes at revolution at its peak, all of us know about Algeria and its beautiful fight for independence, all of us know about Syria's struggles, all of us know about Sudan's silencing, all of us know about Iran's influence in our countries, and Turkey and Morocco's attempts at soft power and tourism despite the way they ravage the region and on and on and on. And of course. The one thing everyone knows about in our region without exception is Palestine and the imperative to liberate this land and let everyone go home.
That is the ONE thing that 99% of South-West Asians and North Africans can agree on (excluding elites and seemingly the majority of Lebanese Christians).

Maybe, perhaps, all trans people experience socialization in ways that are unique and individual and can only be defined by the trans person themself.
Some trans people may say "yes, I did experience gendered socialization that corresponds to the sex I was assigned at birth" - because that was their lived experience as a child. Other trans people may say "no, I did not experience gendered socialization that corresponded to the sex I was assigned at birth", because that was their lived experience as a child. Some trans people may say "I experienced a mix of male and female socialization", and still others may say "I experienced gendered socialization in a way that cannot be mapped onto the male/female dichotomy". And more!
