thinking, as always, about Miss Dedra and about how miserable she was about Ghorman from day one and what would have been the result of her trying to quit

because she's given the project and is like "i don't want it" and Partagaz was like "lmao ok nobody asked if you wanted it." what would have happened if she was like "actually i want to quit the ISB entirely"? would they let her? or would she know too much already on account of having attended the Worst Meeting in the Galaxy?

whether or not she would ever have taken it is an entirely different question but was walking away even an option?

I'd just like to say, as much as your brain will say this, it's categorically not true and it's a lesson I've learned the hard way over the last year.

I thought I was killing it - married, kid, good job, owned my home and right where society told me I should be. A year later, I'm a divorced single mum who is living with her parents again.

You're doing great, even if your brain tells you that you aren't.

Struggling, yet again, with the good ol' one-two punch of "you're way behind in life as compared to your friends, who are all either making more money than you, dating, or married" and "you're not living up to your potential, and at this point, you never will"
