hi! the game i recently finished, Bunny and Kitty's Long-Distance Trip Across the World (BKLDTAW) was made as a gift for my partner and i's 3-year anniversary. since it was for them, after they played it, i asked if they wanted me to release it publicly or not, and they preferred to keep it private. so, it will not be getting a public release!

however, it is also my first fully complete game AND my first game in Godot, so i will be releasing it to a limited number of people i know for feedback! so basically, if ur my mutual or if we've talked before and ur interested in trying out my new game, DM me!! :3 it's a short, silly platformer with a split story, and it works on Windows, Mac, and Linux

working in Godot is really fun actually, i like the UI and a lot of the little stuff honestly a lot better, it feels sm easier to actually navigate lol

Fuck Unity (The game engine, not the concept)

They want up to TWENTY CENTS per game install, once you reach a certain number of installs.

TWENTY CENTS

Just imagine, 100 people install your game and you suddenly owe Unity 20 fucking dollars. Chances are, you haven't even made that much in profits from 100 sales.

It's time for unity to fucking die. How fucking dare they demand royalties from game devs for an engine THAT ISN'T EVEN FREE?

i’m happy with the art and the mechanics of CoinFlop but like.. i don’t love the progression, i kinda gave up and made it way too hard at the end and didn’t have time to properly balance at all. also Tails mode is so much worse than Heads mode lol

the UI is scuffed bc i haven’t learned how to properly make UI work on different screen sizes, so it’s bound to be really fucked up on a lot of screens lol. i’m disappointed about it, but i seriously didn’t have time to learn it, working with UI scaling and junk in Unity is like rocket science to me

new playable version of Gridloch is up now!!!

i added 2 new levels, 2 new enemies, a background, and fixed some aspect ratio issues.

it's also fullscreen now and the pause screen has an exit game button!! can you believe i forgot that??
