Just Pinned to Pugs And Boston Terrier Merch: ICYMI ***** BRAND NEW ARRIVAL ***** Meet Taz-Manium (Taz for short). What a super sweet and happy boy! He's young and comes with a nice balance of playful and calm. You couldn't order a more perfect blend. Unfortunately, Taz is heartworm positive and will start treatment soon. We wanted to introduce him now, however, for anyone who is willing to wait until the treatment is completed (and he's officially cured). You can apply now, and should you fit his needs, can start preparing for his homecoming! Age: 2 years old Weight: Approx. 20 pounds Health: Heartworm positive. Just started treatment and is doing very well Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, playful, active/high energy, couch potato, social Likes: People (not tested with children but believe he would like them too), dogs, playing tug-o-war, playing fetch, giving kisses (he likes to make out), snuggling, sitting in laps, going for car rides and walks, belly rubs, burrowing under blankets, eating treats, chewing bones, playing with toys Dislikes: Being picked up Manners: Mostly housebroken, leash trained, crate trained. Learning the command “sit” Fenced Yard Required: Preferred. If not, must be kept on leash Tidbits from foster mama: Taz-Manium is a unique blend of high energy and low-key. When he gets up in the morning he loves to play right away – no toy is left unscathed. He may even consider the toy basket a toy at times (LOL). He will pull them all out no matter how often you put them away. He will play alone, and he will try to play with another dog, but he doesn't like his toys being taken (he's not aggressive about it, he will just bark and let you know). You might say he's a sore loser. If you leave your shoes out, he may consider those as a toy as well. Thankfully, he won't get mad if you take them away. He needs to have toy distractions around. He doesn't like to be picked up -- he will wiggle about. He loves to give his people attention by licking their face -- a lot. He is really into kissing. He loves to cuddle and he loves attention from people (you can tell by the big smile he displays). Once he has played with every toy he will jump up on your lap. He sleeps in his crate with no problem. He is often crated during the day as well. He's happy-go-lucky and he would do fine with another dog or alone. He would not be the alpha dog. He's also receptive to positive reinforcement and he is highly trainable. Ella fue encontrada el pasado 22 de junio en Caguas, la anunciamos y compartimos en muchos grupos de Facebook pero nadie la ha reclamado al momento. La tendremos bajo nuestros cuidados los 21 días que requiere la ley a partir del día en que se encontró, por si su dueño la reclama con evidencia sustancial. El mismo deberá costear los cuidados y asistencia veterinaria que le brindemos. De no aparecer, tomaremos su custodia oficialmente. Fue nombrada Gigí por la Sra. Sylvia Matos, quien la rescató de la calle y nos contactó. En su honor le dejaremos este nombre que nos gusta mucho. La Sra. Matos la llevó y costeó su primera visita veterinaria, la escanearon pero no tiene microchip. Le encontraron parásitos intestinales, unos abscesos en sus oídos y el doctor sugirió que se le remueva uno que está más grande, se le cortaron las uñas y se desparasitó. En su caquita encontraron presencia de madera triturada, suponemos que el hambre en la calle la llevó a comer lo que encontró. Tiene problema con una de sus patelas, se le sale de sitio y cogea. Su examen de sangre (4Dx) agraciadamente resultó negativo, también fue vacunada. No está esterilizada. Tenemos muchos casos en diferentes fases, de los cuales 19 son Casos Activos aún en rehabilitación, ahora con Gigí. Es increíble que esta perrita joven de aprox. 2 años esté en este estado, al igual que los demás que le hemos presentado estos últimos días. El Verano ha sido sumamente movido en rescates, lo que nos debería llevar a reflexionar como sociedad y la forma en que estamos actuando con estos ángeles que se suponen sean el mejor amigo del hombre. Muchos se ilusionan comprando puppies, estos crecen y sus dueños pierden el interés en ellos y así terminan: en la calle. El lunes llamaremos a nuestro veterinario para sacarle cita a Gigí, darle seguimiento y conocer mejor su estado de salud.
