Grant knows that’s what is on      his brother’s mind. Of course it is, how could he be       thinking anything else? Frankly, Grant would be      surprised if Gabriel wasn’t already putting together an      argument to shake him from his now plain allegiance      to HYDRA.                  “SHIELD or HYDRA? Even you            have to admit that It’s not much            of a choice.”

              ' I'll never pity you for this.                    Other terms are more accurate. '

      That sense of snack and sarcasm, coming from months       of being around those like him --- those who cared for       this agency and all it upholded & for his own brother,       of all people, to be the one to betray them all --- it was       more than just pity he was feeling. No --- hatred was       slowly forming to be the main emotion rushing through       his body at this moment.

            ' It's not about S.H.I.E.L.D. right now --               it's about you & me --- you fucked me over, Grant. '

       The anger was rising by the moment -- it wasn't just        how he could do this. It was why? Why not tell him?        They had a bond that no one else would ever have         & did that mean nothing to the other? He didn't want        to argue --- no, at this moment, he wasn't to maim & hurt.

            ' That's just how it's going to be?              Gonna go be some clairvoyant's little bitch?              For what? A group that took 70 years to even              attempt something? That's real cute, Grant. '

 He knew not this one's motives or mission details, for lack  of a better term for this chaos they called a takeover. Out  of the shadows; into the light --- their motto of sorts. Probably  not the best idea for them as the step into the light wasn't  as graceful as it seemed it would be.

 Nevertheless --- a job had to be done and he had no time  for those who secondguessed themselves or this mission.  Any mishap and the whole thing could go to pieces & if  Ward was around, this was not going to happen --- not on  his watch; especially being the Clairvoyant's second-in-command  of sorts --- he would make sure no one else straggled behind.

 Hydra was never a place to call home --- but it was home  nonetheless & if anyone felt otherwise, they could meet  a bullet in their skull. End of story.

      Now this was something he couldn't believe       nor would he ever --- they were twins. They       understood each other more than anyone       else ever could. How could he do this to him?       How could he do this to S.H.I.E.L.D.? To those       who took him in and loved him. How could he       he do this to his own brother? Eyes locked       with the other --- words trying to escape       but only to come up with failure. There was       nothing that could explain this mess &       nothing ever would.

                ' ---... Grant... '

      No words were spoken at this point.       Nothing audible escaping out of his       system --- he was a machine doing       what had to be done -- no matter       the cost. His old life was done &       over with --- he had a job and like       always, he would do it thoroughly.

      Soon enough, he was where he       needed to be, one man on his       radar --- he needed his details.

Asking over here because you seem to have logged in here now as opposed to Rhodes. Why did you make a Ward when there are so many great ones out there already? Like specialagentb-ward, frownonrecord, and bestsinceromanoff? Let them have the limelight.

Jesus Christ --- wow, I was going to delete this but I just need to point out a couple of things. Your attempt to make it seem like I'm lesser than anyone else has failed completely. I didn't make Ward to compete against others. I didn't make Ward to feel like I had to strive to be the best Ward there is. I made Ward because for once there is a canon Marvel character I finally clicked with and I wanted to portray him.

If you want to get technical --- go through my blog and go to my first post. Guess when this blog was made? The day AOS first came out. Yes, this blog was the first Ward blog to be made --- but guess what? That doesn't matter at all. That's not something to gloat or be proud about. Because we ALL have the same ideals --- we all want to bring an amazing character to life and if ten thousand more pop up, so be it.

I /ADORE/ those blogs you've named off to me --- we are the Ward Brigade. End of story.
