Shoulder is sore from landing on it yesterday but that’s not going to stop our feet. We are going ahead with our half-marathon mileage by canicrossing at least 5.25kilometres with Luna today. We went to the Cookstown-Thornton rail trail actually, we were going to get on the trail in Thornton but some old lady decided to go in front of us just before heading out and let your giant schnauzer off-leash so with a bit of a pissy attitude I loaded Luna back up and moved to the Cookstown trail end and tried again. Some people are so inconsiderate or if you want to do this with your dog, go to the dog park or make sure you can control them! Because I wasn’t going to wait to catch up my run with this old lady (twice – there and back) and her out-of-control dog that would probably chase after us. So I avoided it all together and moved to the other end of the trail to avoid these conflicts. But besides that we had an amazing run. I almost ran the entire 5 kilometres without stopped and Luna is amazing. Knows her job and does it well. Keep the line tight and keep moving forward. Now we have completed 25% of our half-marathon mileage and we are on our way to getting our rainbow metal. We went through a basic rally obedience pattern in the backyard (approximately 10 to 15 minutes worth of work) and I took her for a walk around the block, heeling by herself. She is much better at not pulling than Luna was as a puppy and she has the prettiest and cutest little prance. Tried out the new wheels for bikejoring!

Monday, April 25, 2016 Took Luna bikejoring with the new wheels (Diamondback overdrive) at the Simcoe forest at the end of Anne Street. We had an absolute blast despite the rain and snow by mother nature and the part where while going downhill we hit a stick and it went between the spokes and stopped the front tire instantly. While myself and the rear end of the bike swung over and I flew over the handlebars landing on my left shoulder. Luna was awesome and stopped instantly while I regained myself and the bike. Unfortunately we broke two spokes so now the bike has to go into the shop tomorrow for repair. What a rush though. It was such a blast. Luna is an amazing bikejoring companion.
