i love how no one on this site knows anything about lgbt history. fucking obviously "bi" literally means "two," but that label was put upon us by cishets who only recognize gender as two sexes with the purpose of pathologising us. we reclaimed it and redefined it to suit the ACTUAL meaning of our sexuality, which, as according to the bisexual manifesto (1990), which was literally even titled Anything That Moves, bisexuality has always been an attraction to all genders. every single one. not any 2, not 2 or more. all genders.

This is an incredibly important point to make. The stigma circling genital herpes and sexually transmitted infections makes it very difficult for people to want to speak up. Not to mention the isolation one feels once diagnosed. You are not alone. You are not dirty. You are human. Anyone who tells you otherwise can go fuck themselves. They’re not worth your time.

My friend Lauren @queernuck is dealing with major family abuse and she needs help big time so I'm writing a post on her behalf

Laurens parents are subjecting her to homophobic, transphobic, ableist abuse which she is unable to escape because they steal all of her paychecks, plus she is also dependent on her parents health insurance for her medical care. They know this and use it to further their control over her

^^ this was a text her mother sent about a Xmas gift, so she's stolen Lauren's Xmas present and there's zero guarantee Lauren will get any of it back

Lauren works full time and can't even access money for food and drinks to sustain herself through her shifts

Her parents withhold her medication, ration out her pills and often fail to collect her scripts which forces her to go without meds she needs to function. Some of these meds have withdrawals too.

Her posts so far have generated some help which she is extremely grateful but truthfully she's only received a small amount of money - not enough for her basic needs let alone any kind of recreation or relief which she badly needs to survive this abuse

Because her parents have control of her PayPal and IDs she can't use her own PayPal so me and another friend of hers are facilitating the fundraiser.

I know money is tight for everyone but if you're able, any help would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. Otherwise reblogs are very appreciated too

When I totaled my car last spring, it was by plowing straight thru a fence into a cow pasture on my way to a job interview, and the one thing that saved me from being utterly consumed by despair was the fact that the cows were utterly bonkers with curiosity about the weird object that was suddenly in their field, and they completely SWARMED me and my car with good-natured excitement. They ate my lunch (and my cars bill of sale documents), they used the wrecked husk of my car as a rubbing post, they tried to lick my face, and most importantly because of them I was not just crying alone in the rain, and for these things I'm literally forever in their debt.
