rant on two-bit mathews:

okay but two-bit gets the least amount of love in the gang & you can’t fight me on that.

& yes, darry gets a lot less love than the rest too but people act as if two-bit isn’t even in the book or movie when he has a HUGE role in both !! two helps ponyboy and is basically pony’s babysitter so pony doesn’t get in trouble with the socs while he’s alone or walking places. two-bit also payed for everyone at the movie theatre for no reason other than being the amazing, selfless person he is. he cracks jokes so the gang isn’t depressed!! the gang is a lot more dependent on him than people think & not to mention when ponyboy got jumped by the socs in the beginning scene, he was THE FIRST ONE OUT OF THE WHOLE GANG TO COME AND ATTACK THE SOCS!!!

also two-bit was the first to offer going to texas (even though they weren’t there) after ponyboy and johnny once they ran off. he cares about ponyboy as if he is his brother, and it’s safe to say that he’d do almost anything to help him.

rant on darry curtis:

okay can we actually talk about how much darry curtis deserves?? can we talk about how he dropped everything so he could care for his younger brothers?? can we talk about how he could be a soc if he didn’t take the opportunity to raise his younger brothers?? can we talk about how tight darry hugged ponyboy after he saw him again since pony ran away and started crying?? can we talk about how he doesn’t want ponyboy to get taken away from him and get put into a boys home?? can we talk about how he is the first one everyone from the gang calls when they need help?? can we talk about how darry pressures ponyboy to do better than he did so ponyboy has a better future than him?? can we talk about how instead of fighting the socs he comforted ponyboy after pony got cut?? can we talk about how he stayed home from work & in the room with ponyboy for hours upon hours when ponyboy got sick?? can we talk about how much love he deserves but doesn’t get?? please and thanks.
