I’m behind on posting all the investments made in the index but here’s a quick story from someone who actually put their money into stock of the company that makes the product they wanted to buy. More of us should try this.

What are we doing here?
This is an investment blog, but the non-serious kind.
A little backstory -In 2003, when I got my first new iBook (as the Apple MacBook) was known then, I wanted to invest the same amount to money in Apple stock to see how it played out. I didn’t. I think I spent the money on game consoles, computers and music players as I was inclined to do back in the day. But here's how that would have played out if I had invested in AAPL when I made this blog post.

Opportunity missed, to say the least. I don’t even remember when that iBook was retired from my use. On to 2020 - when the family decided to get a puppy, I got thinking about the costs involved. It is not cheap to own a dog in the USA - expect to spend around $1000 a year on average, possibly more in a high-cost state like California.
I wanted to see what that money would look like if it was invested in the stock market. And so, I created the Puppy Index. Here I will track the money added to the Puppy stock investment account (which will mirror the expenses incurred) and track the performance of those investments.
If this piques your curiosity, tag along!

We have a #covidpuppy
Yes, our American family (like so many others in 2020) decided that the pandemic is the best time to add a new family member.
Meet Coco.
