How eating carbs affect my emotions
For many of us diabetics these are emotions we can go through in a very short period of time. I am finding more and more that this is tied to my carb intake. The flatter I can make this, the more my emotions are in check.

Pre-meal Bolus
My Dexcom CGM is providing some insights into how food is affecting my sugars. Over the past few days my sugar has been spiking after breakfast and going out of range (above 160). I read an article by Scott Hanselman which covered pre-meal bolusing and decided to give it a shot. 15 mins before my breakfast today I bolused for my breakfast and my CGM showed the highest I went was 145 in the next 3 hours, which my meter confirmed. I'll be giving it a shot again tomorrow.

New CGM
Had my Dexcom G4 Platinum CGM for 3 days now. Eye opening results so far. Keeping within my min(70) and max (160) around 95% of the time. Breakfast and exercise seem to be what trigger the peaks and valleys. Should really help me to understand how to fine tune my pump.
