So I’ve been thinking about it and I think a gelphie kiss in wicked for good right before Elphaba says “They’re coming. You need to hide.” would be heartbreakingly brutal. The unresolved feelings, the abruptness of it before it all comes crashing down. It would make the ending hurt even more.

And, it would parallel the books nicely because Elphaba kisses Glinda and basically tells her they’ll never see each other again but to “hold out” for her. It would haunt Glinda in the movie like it does in the books. And I live for Glinda angst.

we forget too often that book elphaba canonically has an imaginary marriage to glinda in her head. why are we letting her get away with this?
