but I'm slightly optimistic not gonna lie. after Peri I think there's hope (maybe) and there's a lot of people internationally who want to watch it NOW

Saving A New Wish: One Show with All (Fairly) Odds Against It

Fairly OddParents: A New Wish is a sequel that managed to surprise almost everybody.

At this point, everyone knows the story of how this popular Nicktoon ended up falling off.....hard. So obviously, when A New Wish was initially announced, no one really expected anything good to come out of it.

Fast forward to now, and there's been a new wave of fans that love this series— including me! Maybe like me, some fans out there started caring about FOP was directly because of this sequel! Whether fans started enjoying since the pilot leaked or since Peri made his first appearance, they've all shown the same amount of love they have for A New Wish.

However, there's been many fans, old and new, around the world that have been waiting to be able to properly watch the series. A New Wish is a co-production with Nickelodeon and Netflix, meaning that the latter has the worldwide distribution rights to the series.

Before I mention something very important to this post, let me share a very important story from Ashleigh Hairston, voice of Hazel and co-executive producer:

There's an important part of this story I'd like to highlight too:

To give a quick idea of how Netflix renews its shows:

Netflix will see how many users actually complete the entire first season, so it would unfortunately matter if the show gets 50 million viewers. Why? Because if only less than 50% of those viewers watch every single episode, the show will not be renewed.

Basically, it's up to Netflix to choose whether the show gets cancelled or renewed.

If you're like me, a person who is worried about another good show being cancelled, you'd support this show. A New Wish is a show made with love, and while it's not perfect, it's one of my favorite shows already. So even if you're interested in this show or not, you can try supporting the show by:

-Watching it all for the first time if you're new!

-Rewatching it all, including episodes you may have missed

-Same as the last, but in your second language's dub!

-Leaving full episodes on as background noise (Just remember to tell Netflix you're still watching, views are views!)

-RATE POSITIVELY IF NETFLIX ASKS YOU TO!!!

-Posting anything with FOP with the hashtag #GreenlightFOPANWS2 and tag @nickelodeon , @nickanimation , and @netflix!!

I truly hope this show gets a second season!! I mean, listen to Peri! You're in for a great time anyway, so please watch every episode on Netflix on NOVEMBER 14TH!!!

Cosmo and Wanda's italian voices in A New Wish are the same from the redub. Yipee/s.

No hate towards the voice actors, but Cosmo especially sounds terrible. Wanda is fine at least. Cosmo sounds like a coked up Mickey Mouse.

Maybe I'm just used to the original voices idk, but it's gonna be hard to enjoy one of his best incarnations like this.

Also, the Italian name for ANW is "Make a Wish" which is so damn generic, especially for a sequel series.

Ok rant over. I'm still happy to be able to watch it in my native language

Ngl, the ANW artstyle is so overhated. It's so adorable and actually fits the series quite well. Honestly it's even better than the original. I know that different people have different opinions, but I feel like people who say this only watched some clips online that didn't have the best quality and/or are blinded by nostalgia

No matter how you felt on the finale, PLEASE don't harass the writers. It's the network to blame for not giving them enough time to tell the story they wanted. If you enjoyed the finale however, great! I am glad you did. Repeat it with me, DO NOT HARASS THE WRITERS.

I just realized that Dev has had Peri for pretty much 5 months, give or take. In Lost and Founders day we find out that that Dev was born 9 years 7 months and 14 days before, which means, Operation Birthday Takeback takes place roughly 5 months after that. Let that sink in. Damn

Idk about you, but I'm getting pretty tired of the people who keep complaining about The Fairly Oddparents still going. Yes, A New Wish is clearly a cash grab, but, in spite of it, it hasn't been this good in years. Years that come even before the 2010s. Judging it only based on the fact that it's a revival of FOP is honestly unfair

It's so crazy to see many people shipping Peri and Irep and honestly, I'm starting to like it, but I'm still not sure if a fairy is actually shippable with their own Anti-counterpart without entering prosh*pping territory (I censored it only to not make this post appear when looking up that word). Anyway, what Cosmo and Wanda said about Peri's allegedly quitting, I'm sure they said it about Dev and not Irep tho

I wished the episodes from FOP A New Wish weren't getting released on bomb format and was weekly instead.

You can tell that in a way it would be more enjoyable to watch and it would allow for more discussion and build more fandom.
