The Dauntless Youths

What’s a Chinese *Bromance* story if the first male leads aren’t rescuing one another from certain death by slavery as an introductory overture, and the second CP doesn’t want to kill each other in public on sight?

Add to that a fake-identity sub-plot in which a seemingly incurably ill Prince authorises his doppelgänger to represent him at Royal Court - a hotbed of scheming, swift repercussions for missteps, and daily death-defying bouts with the local supernatural elements, and it’s a struggle to not keep pressing next episode.

Perhaps this is why fierce, angry military Prince guy takes an instant dislike to this newly emancipated interloper, owing to missing his sickly, but elegant Prince and has transferred his bad vibes onto the gentle new addition at Court who also looks unerringly like the cherished person he’s having withdrawal symptoms from 🤷.

It’s only been two episodes but the first couple has been absolutely and arrestingly charming together in every scene despite very different social statuses of Prince v slave as well as Fire v Water personalities, and already the true Prince is eroding the hierarchy between them by treating his newly found “Prince” with intimate care.

Also everyone is beautiful including the women whose every wrong I’m ready to support 😍😍😍

The subs are more ghastly on Mango YT than usual so check the usual places for alternatives that are far better.

What Kill To Love failed to deliver - clever, engaging script, coherent direction and dramatic tension, it looks like Dauntless Youths is about to serve!
