When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.
that odd feeling between "oh my gosh it was you!" and "wait you're real?" or even "oh dear, I'm so sorry." when I find Christians who act like the negative stereotypes I and my peers would get accused of that I thought were just straw-men until then.

People get mad that Christians find Christian messages in secular work and I'm just like... if you didn't want us associating the story with the truth, you shouldn't have made the message so true.
