Fandom IS NOT ACTIVISM

I realize that it may seem like a controversial topic because there are stories or ships out there that can be disturbing and create discomfort in people, but that is no reason to threaten, insult and denigrate those who support a ship different from yours or or for those who love to follow that TV series, or manga, anime, videogames, book or movie. But above all, applying our morals to imaginary contexts and fictitious characters is simply petty and senseless. In particular i just saw a debate about ZK vs ZA where it was insinuated that those who support Zuko x Katara are people who support the colonizers and go against the victims of colonization and I was like "WTF".

Fandom in theory should be a safe place where fan meet to exchange opinions, create headcanons and the theories, write or draw about what we love.

The point of my post is exactly this. I repeat, there are ships or stories that are not my cup of tea, but I have no right to put limits on creativity of the author or fans of that particular fandom. Criticism is fine and it is right to have your own preferences, but criticism must be constructive and not hypocritical.

Got tired of movie reviews so I started having Conan running in the background while drawing and there are several instances where I had to laugh out loud. I forgot how fun the anime was.
