I feel like I don't draw my characters enough. I've been pretty down for a bit and so I just drew this for myself. (About the dragon, it's a side character from a short story I wrote, originally intended to be a comic. It's a coffee dragon who has a horde of novelty mugs, later adopted by Pancakes.)

I've been working on a few of these mini comics since the christmas holidays. Lots of Breakfast Guild and some Ace Attorney comics. I wanted to do a lot of comics that showed the downtime with my characters when they're not doing the main story and adventuring. It's a lot easier than drawing the main story.

A lot of these comic ideas were inspired by playing Baldurs Gate 3 and really getting into the Dungeons and Dragons vibes.

Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.

It's happening.

I'm in full con crunch mode, but I decided I needed to finally join the Destiny shoot this year at DragonCon, so I've been crafting as fast as my fingers and work schedule allow the last few days to get this done!

Tonight I have a TON of painting to do and a little bit more sewing before I pack all this up and fly to Atlanta EARLY Wednesday morning!

Good news for you, this August 23rd.

It's funny how Twilight Princess has a reputation for being the 'edgy' Zelda game when it's so fucking silly and straight up campy at times. Like they really had the penultimate boss that the game had been building up to from the beginning be this dancing capering twink who falls off platforms and gets his head stuck in the dirt and whose preferred method of sword based combat is- "wave it around wildly and hope it hits something".

The entire race of Hylians was created by a progenitor race of chicken sized chicken people in the canon of Twilight Princess. This is played completely straight.

The kingdom's dungeons where prisoners are fucking executed, is operated by use of a man sized Beyblade that serves no purpose other than operating these mechanisms. This is never commented on. The final boss fight of this same dungeon is a literal rollercoaster ride where link uses the Beyblade to jump tracks and kill the enemy. Who is the manifestation of the resentment and power of the dead. Killed. By a twink riding a beyblade.

One of the main characters is a toddler with the cadence and vocabulary of a jaded thirty year old, who performs a hostile takeover of the city's premier center of commerce, which he then transforms into a toddler-themed bazaar. This is also played completely straight.

Bigfoot is real and also a wife guy. There is no explanation as to where he fits in in the races created by the gods.

The challenge is to draw every new AdorkaStock pose that I submit to the Draw Everything June gallery between June 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023.

A new pose will be posted at 6AM Eastern every Monday – Friday Eastern USA Time. (No new poses Saturdays or Sundays).

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

🟣 Draw every pose submitted to the AdorkaStock Draw Everything June gallery between June 1, 2023 and June June 30, 2023 (22 drawings total, some references will include multiple models). Sign up to get the new pose emailed each day!

🟣 Your goal is to draw all the poses by July (July! Not June ❤) 15th, 2023. Yes, this means you have an extra two weeks to get everything done if you fall behind or start late! Don’t worry if you are in another timezone and need to complete ‘that day’s drawing’ on another day. Want advanced access to get a jump start on the challenge? Patrons at all levels have access to all the challenge poses on May 15th!

🟣 Post your art anywhere on socials with #DrawEverythingJune2023

🟣 There are no individual prizes this year but everyone who completes the challenge will get a special download AdorkaStock pose reference pack. When you’ve completed all the drawings you can qualify by submitting a screenshot of all of your works, or a link to where you’ve posted them on the prize redemption form. The redemption form link will be here once DEJ starts!

🟣 You DO NOT have to do refined artwork with every pose – rough and gestural sketches are okay! But it does have to be the full pose (yes, even multiple models) to qualify. Props are optional but animals must be included. 

IMPORTANT: The majority of the pose should be visible for it to count for the challenge. If you draw the head and shoulders and cover the rest of the body with a huge dress, it’s not going to count as drawing the pose. You can use anthro characters and other slight anatomical or prop changes; you can change the genders of the characters or the species of any animal.
