— ough my moot on discord sent me THIS bc we have a long emic scenario going and it's giving me brainworms for the gen(?) hc post to finish up -- along with a bunch of others and recalled our yapping, tht whole thing would honestly checkout not because hurrhurr angst but bc of mic's reaction in manga to aizawa taking hitoshi under his wing. situation aside, after all these years i don't think aizawa has mentored anyone and to do so for a kid solely bc he reminds you of back then after ≈ +15 years is crazy work but sweet. i know it's extremely common for people to immediately fanon him as aizawa's kid but, it honestly tracks more for him to be mic's quirks aside the attitude.

hitoshi's attitude 100% mirrors mic's when he's out of his hero persona more than he does aizawa in gen and we get that sneaky sneaky in vigilantes in the flashbacks and when they're visiting kurogiri when mic tells aizawa to- and i quote : "shut the fuck up man" then when he was ready to beat his ass in the hospital bed too -- actually all the mic side comments and some instances in the light novels ( he never catches a break tbfh ), he deserves that rage

Being dragged about and having to unanchor his foot set Mic's heart on metaphorical fire MORE ANGER flooded his veins, this is why he hated being on damn patrol in this area alone. He kept one hand wrapped around the chain as a hand came up to press a few buttons on his speaker to narrow the output field before taking in a breath and unleashing his voice at a lower frequency with a scream in hopes of disorientating the culprit by agitating that annoying little ear snail everyone had buried within their ear and encouraging the other heroes in the patrolling area to hurry their asses.

HE DOESN'T GET PAID ENOUGH FOR THIS.

Mic wasn't going down that easily with being literally dragged around, at this rate the grip on his boots would've been worn down, he understandably wasn't exactly a fan of being treated like some handler with an unruly dog when he was supposed to be home minutes ago mouth harassing a bucket of fried chicken ice cream and watching Desperate Housewives reruns.

When they got near a corner, Mic jumped up to put his foot out to attempt to keep him anchored in place, none too keen on getting into property destruction just yet let alone letting him get away so brazenly.

— ; Mic never reconnected with Aizawa after everyone started pulling away from him in their second year and he accepted Midnight's invitation to teach at Yuuei Academy but kept his distance from everyone due to the way things were portrayed in Vigilantes where he was actively avoided. At this point in his life, it could get better or worse depending on the interaction, he is tap dancing on that line of abandoning all hope of reconnecting / quitting his teaching job due to the things connected to Yuuei and returning to working primarily with Buster Union again or pursuing his musical career again before he becomes too busy or too old to do so.

VERSE II. “ I Lost A Friend ” | semi. canon comp && semi. divergent { post vigilantes }

— ; The guilt of indirectly killing Shirakumo and potentially hurting others got to Mic, dealing with it for years has made him quit being a “mainstream” hero and moonlights with vigilantism like Knuckleduster and Mirko with dealing with the Underground instead where he doesn't use his quirk as much anymore, going completely solo in terms of his work. He does still teach in this verse but, he simply just doesn't talk anymore beyond doing announcements and lessons. It's just that he's far more involved in dealing with the investigative part of hero work that doesn't require his quirk and is still with Buster Union in this verse.

"You can stay, you were here first. If you're distruptin’ my peace I'll just turn down the volume." He tapped the hearing aid against his skull with a chipped black painted nail as a partial joke - was it potentially a little tactless? Maybe but, hopefully it would make the taller male feel more at ease because while this entire situation had been one-sidedly wary, Mic observed him enough to be somewhat at ease with his presence. Admittedly, Mic thought he was fake at first with his almost infectious jovial personality and sunny disposition and intended on completely avoiding his existence unless spoken to until witnessing the way he interacted with the kids and how he tried so hard to genuinely befriend the grouchiest of them all...

Hizashi would've preferred it if he were fake; It wouldn't have made him feel as bad for constantly getting rid of him, it made the younger hero feel as if he were kicking a puppy each time. He didn't vibe with that feeling. ( No one in their right mind would. ) He could've treated him like the other assholes invested in the gig for the wrong reasons and terrorized his show every so often.

The blond man's heavy boots softly padded against the concrete until he was leaning with one hand against the surface of the building's trimming as the other went into the inner breast pocket of his jacket, thinking.

"Doing anything after your shifts up? There's this American themed cafe not too far from here with killer coffee and ’burger steaks." It was sudden but, maybe the old man deserved a little leeway? He recalled it was tradition amongst staff to go on an outing to celebrate a new member joining in on rearing the next gen but, Mic had opted out due to the amount of people and the fact he'd rather not embarrass himself from being fucked up on whatever unholy liver destroying concoction that Nemuri came up with again .

"Eh-?" All Might looked over his shoulder, a look of mild surprise on his well defined features that quickly relaxed into an easy smile.

"Oh, Present Mic!" He stood up from where he had been crouching by the edge of the roof, dusting his hands. "Fancy meeting you here- don't you worry about me now! I'm just catching a little breather before I get to my last round for the night."

His stride was casual and relaxed as he ambled over to stand a polite distance from the other pro hero. He was aware of Present Mic's activity in the area, but he hadn't expected to run into him while he was just passing through.

“ I wasn't worried about you, All Mighty. I'm aware you can handle your own." He responds after All Might had gotten close enough to speak without raising their voices to be heard over the night life's ambiance. The blond flipped up his orange shades to make eye contact at the very least while conversing instead of the usual hiding behind them, "I'm just here for the quiet." He brought a gloved hand up to lower the headphones around his neck, clearly having gotten off shift not too long ago since the only thing missing in his hero costume had been that obnoxiously large directional speaker.

Truthfully, he never had anything against All Might in general and when being colleagues - maybe there was a bit of annoyance that he wasn't completely true to himself ( playing the same game ) but, he at least tolerated the veteran hero enough to be decent and halfheartedly humor him.
