the thing about elegy is that her physical appearance is a metaphor for her ostracization and the ableism she faces and her religious turmoil but it also isnt a metaphor and literally is a condition linked to her chronic disability and all that. i really tend to do this a lot
#of course it is because she was originally a dnd tiefling. but she has evolved so much that i forget that sometimes#cant IMAGINE PLAYING this freak its actually impossible#she was born to exist in a cartoons world#anyway i think its interesting. ive had the thought that maybe i should alter her design to be differentbut i think its important that shes#associated via her appearance with beetles (insects considered undesirable by many) and iconography of sin and hell#(associated with misfortune and considered a bad omen)#which are fun enough to explore that i dont want to change her

soooo basically avie is a hamster, and the other gods tell jokes about hamsters will die from anything, and elegy cups her in her hands and goes none of you are providing your hamsters proper enclosures or care...and then avie thrives with ample material for burrowing and a varied diet. ok?
