Summary: Yugi Muto has a secret; He's a Hikari, a legend most people no longer understand. A trip to Egypt's capital starts a chance meeting with not one, but three potential Yamis. Yugi is determined to test their worth in the form of a certain brown fuzzball, but why does he feel so drawn to the pharaoh, the one in the group that can't become his Yami?

Comments: I sacrificed so much sleep to read this and I regret none of it. This is an amazing epic set in ancient Egypt, featuring my favorite thing ever - a BAMF Yugi. There's a lot of worldbuilding here and all the of the characters are given such good arcs and have rich interactions with each other. There's a fair amount of trauma in this story, so prepare for angst and a few good hurt/comfort scenes, but what this does so well is reverse the roles Atem and Yugi have in this show.

Yugi is the 400 year old spirit who needs help finding peace, something Atem struggles to do because Yugi has been through so much and they don't seem to stop in this fic, consequences of bad choices catching up fast.

The fight scenes are glorious (Atem 3 point landing with wings to save Yugi being tortured? *chef kiss* Isis predicting sword strikes *queen* Yugi taking on Diabound by himself? *that's by boy*), the betrayals will make you scream, and the relationship between TKB and Atem is perfection.

Hello! I'm looking for a Puzzleshipping fic that I read around a year ago, but I never really bothered saving it for future reading because I was barely getting used to using A03 (my mistake, I should've tried to saved it, learned my lesson). It is quite cliche at some degree, but I loved it because it was quite well written for a short story. Even more so, I read it when I was going through school and life, so it really did make a difference to me. Sadly, I don't remember the title nor the creator of the fic.

The basic premise of the story had to do with an office romance that eventually would progress as the story went on. Yugi worked in an office to an architectural company. He had a one-sided crush with Yami/Atem (I don't remember by which name the author wrote him as). The working conditions were pretty abysmal as they had to work in narrow office cubicles that they could barely move around in. Anyways, Yami gets the opportunity to design a building that was to be presented to Seto Kaiba, but the model he was tasked to make is due in 2 weeks. Since he's on such a tight deadline, he becomes completely drained and begins to doubt his work. That is when Yugi comes and offers to provide aid and support. Eventually, the boss turns out to be such a prick and racist piece of work and breaks the model. This causes Yami to retaliate and eventually get fired from his job. Yugi soon quits after. They both eventually manage to show the model to Kaiba by luck and get the job.

There are more details that I remember of the story, but other than that, the author, title, and even date of publishing are things that I don't remember. If anyone does know anything about it, please don't hesitate to reply. I would be eternally grateful to remember this fanfic.

Oh man I know (and loved!) this fic, but when I went searching for it, have turned up nothing -- I fear it might have been deleted?

If anyone has more details (like the title or author) that might help us track it down to be sure, please help!

I’m going to be waxing poetic about it at the end of this post and I don’t even care.

It’s Yami, guys. 😭 It’s MY Yami. With chains that weigh him down around his wrists and blood from where he scratches at them. And his expression???? He’s so unsure, so stunned, doesn’t even know if the hand that’s touching him is real, and he’s too scared to look in case it’s all a dream.

And his posture: tight, still, hardly daring to breathe in case it all disappears, hands clamped tightly between his thighs to restrain the urge to touch. Trying so hard not to do anything to displease the light, not to do anything at all.

All wrapped up in such beautiful, beautiful colouring. 💗

I’m honestly weeping. 😭🫶

I remember reading this one fic ages ago on Fanfiction.net (lol) but it was a Time travel puzzleshipping/blindshipping fic where Yugi and Yami were teleported back into Ancient Egypt. The only thing I am able to recall was that Atem thought Yugi was a good sign and he had fallen from the heavens as his star(?) and if Yugi choose Atem, Yami cease to exist. Please SOS, I've been trying my best to locate it .⁠·⁠´⁠¯⁠`⁠(⁠>⁠▂⁠<⁠)⁠´⁠¯⁠`⁠·⁠.

fic rec! Well, series rec. 30K total. YGO mob AU

Summary: Atem and Yugi are OOC, dysfunctional, psychopathic gangstas - but they're also super into each other.

Comments: What grabbed my attention from the start was the dynamic between these two. As the series goes along, and you see them interact, it's obvious it's not as one side as you might think - but it's 100% just as unhinged and unhealthy as it's first presented as. Yugi's got issues but I totally dug his femme fatale persona, batting his eyelashes and slitting throats and playing Atem. Tagged with smut, but it's not super graphic like some fic can be. This is 100% focused on the 'i love you I hate you? no i love you and i don't quite get it' vibes. But there's also like, murder (a lot) and tragic backstories. Good read, all of it.

Welcome to the 20th Anniversary celebration and tribute!

If you're here, you're probably a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan past, present, or are just discovering it now! For millions of fans around the world, Yu-Gi-Oh! was a manga we read religiously, or maybe some of us watched the anime. Many around the world still play the game. Others enjoy reading old chapters of the manga, watching the original anime, and still enjoy making new memories around the spinoff series that have come after the original.

Everyone has their own Yu-Gi-Oh! story to tell, and this 20th anniversary of the emotional finale is a perfect time to celebrate everything this story gave us, all the way up to the present day.

Kazuki Takahashi has not been with us for over a year, but there are still many of us who are grateful every day for what he left behind, even if the ending broke many of our hearts.

Throughout the next couple of weeks, I will be posing some questions for you all. Feel free to send an ask or request to submit your answer. You answers can come in the form of paragraphs, maybe a fic, or even art to show your appreciation.

I want this event to be an open forum for us to share stories, and anything that Yu-Gi-Oh! has inspired in many fans. No matter where you are in the fandom or how deep you are in it, this event is meant to help us remember the impact this story had on us. Besides, the ending is too sad to only focus on that.
