﹝ ♚ ﹞ ⸻⸻   INSTINCT KICKS IN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY , hand flying to the various small satchels of dust at her side . fingers on her other side immediately going to rest on the small blade she carries . just in case he tries anything . golden optics roaming over him furiously ; taking in every bit she can . mind racing to calculate and determine what force she would need to take a man of his stature down .

❛ one of pan’s faeries ? don’t be as stupid as he thinks you are . ❜ sarcasm swirls over her tongue as she props herself up on the nearest tree , limbs loosely crossing over her chest . the picture of relaxed even as she positions her feet so she can run if need be . ❛ i could always fix that if you’re even inclined . i happen to know where he sleeps , and i’m quite good at talking to animals if i need to . ❜

she’s quick to assure him , gaze flittering off him as she moves again ; faeries never did sit still for long least they get caught . this time , she does pull out her dagger , using the tip of the blade to clean the underside of her fingernails .

she doesn’t consider herself the kind of faerie to have friends . even if it’s expected of her . the last time she let herself trust , it ended in betrayal . but you’re an exclusion to that . you’re not friends , but you’re the closest she’s got to one in forever . and while she won’t ever save you over herself , neverland help anyone who tries to hurt you . there will be no hesitation before she’s run them through with her sword . you’re almost as important to her as her experiments . because she doesn’t consider her fellow fae to be actual family , if she calls you family ; you’ve made it . there is no higher level here . she’s nicer to her almost-friends , but that just means she cares about you more than them . while she wouldn’t exactly die for you either , she would make sure to avenge your death in the most painful and dramatic way possible . best believe you are the only one to see the more vulnerable and soft side of her , and probably the only one she’d use her creations to help . honestly , if you’re not sure where you stand , you’re definitely an acquaintance . zarina doesn’t care about you either way , and she certainly wouldn’t even bother her dust on you . sure , she may talk to you but only if you start the conversation first . you may think you’re friendly , but she probably doesn’t even remember your name . Enemies:

now, if you’re lucky enough to be considered zarina’s enemy , you should be terrified. the faerie is very thorough . full disclosure , she definitely has three binders (at least) on you and her various plans to make your life as terrible as possible . if she sees you , she may either physically attack you , start yelling , or pretend that you don’t have her blood boiling and work to get under your skin so she can strike when the time is right .  [ 0 / 3 ]

i really would love to explore a relationship with zarina . be it toxic , purely physical , enemies-to-lovers , or slow-burn . i’m not picky . but i do like the idea of her barriers slowly being broken down without her knowing and her heart opening up again after everything she’s been through . hall there ! i’m aphrodite , or aph for short , and this is my girl zarina . i’ve listed some of her basic information below but keep an eye out because i will be adding things as i explore more and more of her character . if you’re interested in plotting or anything , feel free to go ahead and just shoot me a dm!

BACK TO BASICS

zarina is not a fan of nicknames . she does not like being called anything else , even if she does consider you a friend .

i am altering part of her history . while she has returned to pixie hollow , she is still not thrilled with tinker bell and the other faeries . in her view , them saving her from drowning was only fair given she didn’t kill them herself earlier . she’s not overly cruel but she’s not going to be buddy-buddy either .

she still experiments with her dust , but it’s not to help anyone but herself . she keeps most of her successes a secret so that others don’t steal her work and always has about seven different varieties of dust on her at all time .

as it is, her loyalty is undecided . she can never trust in hook ; she knows that . nor can she trust in peter given that he’s influenced by tinker bell . her current plan is to wait until one or the other finishes the battle and then make her move .

she has a bit of temper that she works to control . while she may have a few outbursts of anger , either verbally or physically , she always plays them off as harmless and uncharacteristic of her so that she’s not seen as a threat until she chooses to .

while she will never admit to it , she often wishes that she had never come back to the faeries and remained as a pirate . fulfilling as it is to be able to work with her dust and experiments ; it doesn’t come close to how much she enjoyed being on the ship and the freedom that came with being captain .

THE LOVER: she loved them once . long before she ever knew herself . they were the most important person in the world in her eyes . she would’ve done anything they’d ask without hesitation . now , even though she claims to feel nothing ; she cannot find herself to be unable to stop caring about them . it’s not love , hasn’t been for a long time . but the familiarity of happiness that she seeks after in them .

THE MAGICIAN: they have magic , more than hers . stronger , older , better . impressive and terrifying all at once . she wants to learn from them . to get better , to surpass with her own talents . either dark magic or good ; she doesn’t care . she’ll flatter them however she needs to to get their secrets spilled .

THE SAGE: while zarina is hot-headed and often thinks she knows better than everyone else , there is one person she does listen to above herself . if she doubts herself , or cannot think , she goes to them . she trusts them more than she wants to , but they haven’t steered her wrong yet and that’s enough at this point .
